A fantastic follow up for Brock and Sarah!

Gambled is a Novella in Cristin Harber's Titan series. It should definitely be be read after Westin's Chase as it picks up after the events which occured in that story. It continues to be packed with action, suspense and combustible chemistry.

Brock Gamble's life is in the ultimate tailspin after his wife and children's abduction. Though he ultimately got them back and they were safe, the lies and deceit he had to construe have left him alone. Bad decision after bad decision led him to ultimately betray his family as well as his trusted team at the Titan Group.

In a last ditch effort to win his wife back, he persuades her to take an exotic vacation. His only hope is to reclaim his marriage. But when duty calls and he is the only one who can help, he must make a pivotal decision.

I love that there was a follow up to Brock's story after his ultimate deceit. I can't wait to read more from this amazing series!

PS- The audio version of this book only enhanced Cristin's brilliance as an author. Jeffrey Kafer does an excellent job of narrating this incredible story.

Wow!!!! Could not stop listening and hanging on every word. The story is really amazing, exciting and very sexy

Husband and wife rebuilding marriage

I liked that the plot of this book is around a couple rebuilding their marriage and finding out new things about each other. It was a good listen. This author is very free with profanity and sex scenes so be warned.

Brock and Sarah!

Brock’s actions to rescue his wife and daughters when they were abducted led to him betraying his second family Titan. He had kept his two lives completely separate and he now finds himself paying the price as both families try to deal with the aftermath

Sarah is feeling betrayed and that she doesn’t know the man she married. When he suggests a trip away to reconnect, she is conflicted but if they are going to have a second chance changes will have to be made.

Their trip takes a dangerous turn when Brock is needed for a mission and his only back-up is Sarah. Her strength and resilience shines through as she shows that they are perfect teammates both in life and in love.

There is no denying the enduring love between Brock and Sarah but his desire to protect her backfired big time. I thought that the narrator did a great job not only with the characters but with the suspense part of the storyline.

Another great book

This is another great book by Cristen Harbor. I love her titan series. Now to start on the next one.

Would you listen to Gambled: A Novella: Titan, Book 3.25 again? Why?

Absolutely. This is a great story and would be great to listen to it in order that they were written since I've listened to these out of order.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Brock! The story opens with a bang and doesn't let up. I felt it when Brock was in so much pain at losing his family. When he went to see Sara, again I felt like I was there going thru the anguish with them. Brock is suck a strong, alpha type. Once he decided to stop at nothing to get his family back he was all in.

What about Jeffrey Kafer’s performance did you like?

Absolutely love Jeffrey Kafer's performance. He is one of the best I've heard out of all the audio books l've listed to. My favorite - hands down.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

When you lose everything, a second chance means all the more!

Any additional comments?

I loved this story. It has romance, humor and bad guys. All the makings of a great story. I love the relationship all the Titan guys have. For all their bluster and talk, they are still like family to each other!

Gambled, and paying the price.

Jeffrey Kafer did another excellent job. He makes these badass guys sound that way. He made a decision--his family or his team. By choosing his family he has lost his other family--Titan. Or has he? While trying to repair his marriage with an island get-a-way he gets several emergency calls from Titans boss, his -former- friend to save a kid.

The woman standing by him now is his wife. When she wants to stand with him on the mission....well you'll have to find out. Make sure you take note of the head of Titan's version of a house warming.
