Solid book if it wasn't paired with Fulgrims return. Zero Fulgrim point of view. Only interesting overarching storyline progression is a hint towards a loyalist primarch return...in the chaos primarch return book. Yikes.

Meh.

It was ok. Sadly, the loyalist moments stood out far more than the emperors children once again. I wish they can give the chaos factions the respect they deserve. Every chaos books just turns into loyalist outshining them and it’s a tad frustrating.

Fulgrim was around far more than angron was for his book, but it was still too little. I was hoping for more of a fulgrim POV. The few scenes he DOES have are excellent.

Truly a black Templar book with an emperors children cover. Seeing as a grand majority of the book is showcasing just how strong the black templars are, and how dumb, weak, and pathetic the emperors children are.

Great voice work, ok story

Story was ok but I really don't see what the point of it was. Didn't advance the setting in any way that I could gather but I don't think that was Jude's fault. Would have been better as just an EC story instead of a Primarch release book. Felt like GW wanted to do the release of Fulgrim and EC so they had Jude write something that didn't affect anything other than saying Fulgrim gathered his legion. Really confusing. I will say that I hope they let Jude work on a Fulgrim novel that ties in with Guilliman and The Lion because she did write him and the EC wonderfully.

I'll be really disappointed if this is how they handle future Primarch returns. They did Guilliman and The Lion well, but, if this is how they're going to do it from here on out, then it's going to be a really long few years.

Narration was phenomenal, though. Fulgrim sounded absolutely fantastic.

This was pointless

Fulgrims return never had his point of view and it was just a war for a pointless planet. There was no extreme revelation or anything important despite being named after a primarch. Also spoiler for the ending Barrengar is the biggest moron ive ever seen for not killing Temaris TWICE and getting his sword back. Overall this book didnt need to happen or at the least never should of had Fulgrim

It very quickly gives the reason for Fulgrim entering the Emperium

It was ok. Not as much of Fulgrim as I’d hoped. Used they/them pronouns for some characters for no reason.

THIS BOOK IS A PARAGON OF THE PERFECT 3RD

the voice acting alone had me in ecstacy. Every time Fulgrim appeared he took stole the scene! The vibration of his voice truly feels as if you are feeling the full power of slaanesh feeling both amazing yet unsettling!!

Sadly a giant waste of time.

I’ve waited for this for a long time and nothing meaningful happened at all. This book would have been acceptable had it been setting up a bigger story, but it wasn’t. Honestly I am so disappointed.
