Good listen

Enjoyable lusten I enjoy most all of her books They are interesting and light to listen to while driving

ITS ALWAYS A FUN ROMP WITH JANET EVANOVICH!

As always, this book by author Janet Evanovich was a really fun listen. The story is full of whacky characters with crazy lives. This book is no exception.

As always, there is sexual tension between main character, Stephanie Plum and her cop boyfriend, Joe Morelli. AND, there is plenty of sexual attraction between Stephanie and hunky bounty hunter, Ranger.

Sally Sweet is a really whacky character and is a lot of fun. Grandma Mazure is off-the-wall outlandish as always.

My only criticism about this book is the amount of swearing in this book. Sally Sweet (a male) can’t start or finish a sentence without the word f**k. After a while with repetitive use, the shock factor is gone and it becomes swearing just for the sake of swearing.

If you are sensitive to this language, this is NOT the book for you.

Personally, I MUCH prefer narrator C.J. Critt as Stephanie Plum. Lorilei King is OK (only mediocre in my opinion). I find Ms. King’s delivery to be too flat for the bubbly, often freaked out Stephanie Plum.

Otherwise I highly recommend this book — you’ll find plenty of places in which you will find yourself laughing out loud.

I can’t WAIT to start Book 6 in this series (I’ve already read Book 5).

Not for me

Vulgar! This was recommended to me because I enjoy mysteries, but it was quite vulgar for my taste. Not that great of a mystery either. Just not for me.

Unhappy about language

Language was changed to be more profane. The original books were better. I wish there was a warning about this prior to purchase. Very offensive.

I barely got through it

I love Evanovich..her stories are great but this one was definitely lacking in substance. It played off characters that were too cliche and there was no need for the foul language. I can stream something if I wanted all that. Having said that, I will continue to read her books because they are usually so enjoyable.
