Awesome book - awesome series

Loved this story... it was a slow burn for most but eventually got hot.🔥 The whole series was a good read/listen. The narrators do a fabulous job. Stick with it, it's a great collection of stories. I plan to check out more titles by this author too. Story(s)⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️heat (overall) 🔥🔥🔥

slow burn marriage of convenience!

Once again Brenna has added another beautiful couple to her Gaming the System series. Ive loved Kat since the beginning and was so happy she got her own book. I was not prepared for Lucas though. I don't know how she does it, but this author has amazed me once again.
Kat is a vivacious kick-ass female with a big heart who seems to have zero vulnerability. After Mia & Adams destination wedding, Kat finds herself in trouble with Canadian immigration and blurts out the only name that came to mind... Lucas.
Her nemesis at work, who she now needs to become her fake husband in order to obtain a green card and stayin the US.
Turns out there's more to Lucas than meets the eye and Kat finds out he may just not be the stuffy uptight ass she thinks he is.
Their story is unique with a bit of a slow burn build up which had me holding my breath at times. I loved their HEA and how this book ended. I loved getting to read and now listen to this book.
Jason and Kirsten narrate this entire series which I love and I'm so glad Brenna has continued with this book! I couldn't imagine anyone else voicing her books better.

Marriage of Convenience Perfection!!

For the Taking by Brenna Aubrey is an enemies to lovers paired with a marriage of convenience romance at its best! Seriously, the sexual tension and the angsty push and pull Brenna creates between Lucas and Katya is simply slow burn perfection. (Totally worth the wait!) I was instantly sucked into this story right from the start, and I absolutely adored every bit of it! This is book 7 in the Gaming the System Series, but can be listened to as a stand alone.

Jason Clarke and Kirsten Leigh narrate this audio, and do such a fabulous job bringing Lucas and Katya to life. Lucas and Katya are complex characters with intricate and troublesome pasts. They know that a "fake" marriage will benefit both of them, but there is this undeniable attraction between them that they can only resist for so long. Jason Clarke conveys all of Lucas's lust and love for Katya, vulnerabilities towards his family, and his passion for his job brilliantly in his performance. Kirsten Leigh is spot on with Katya's determined, fierce, and loving personality, but also is amazing at portraying her conflicted and painful past with her family. Both are just the chef's kiss to a fantastic audiobook!

Overall, I enjoyed this book! If you love hot gamers, Dutch nobility, forbidden steamy times, a dreamy Napa Valley trip, a fake marriage that may not be fake, and a totally swoon-worthy HEA then you need this book in your life! I'm looking forward to more from Brenna Aubrey!

I am now current on Gaming the System series and I loved each of them. There is something so special and unique about this series. Jason and Kirsten bring a wonderful vibe to all of the characters that they narrate. Easily in my top 5 of 2021 and will linger on my heart forever. Hope that Brenna will continue to grow this series. Each of the characters that she created feel so real when I listen to the story. At first I was thinking WOW 15 hours and then I turned on the audiobook and enjoyed a few days of the roller coaster ride of emotions in the story.

Just finished an ALC of FOR THE TAKING by Brenna Aubrey narrated by Jason Clarke and Kirsten Leigh and I have a huge smile of contentment on my face. If you are a fan of the Gaming the system series then this exciting sexy standalone is a must. If you have not listened to the series then this will definitely wet your appetite. The enemies-to-lovers fake marriage plot is creative, the characters unpredictable, the narration is fabulous and so sexy. Its another winner by Brenna Aubrey and I cant wait for the next one. 14hours of deliciousness. Totally creditworthy !

I been waiting for so long for this book to come out through audible and have had my favorite book in this series but I am pretty sure this one is my new favorite!!! My only complaint is I wanted more!!! So worth the credit to listen I will be re- listening again and again

Love Brenna Aubrey and her work!

I have read (er, listened to) every Gaming the System book since the first one. Love the series! And, I think I waited two years for this book to make it to audio! These two narrating for Brenna's books is a welcome delight to my ears too!

Loved it just as I did reading this story

I loved this book when I first read it and enjoyed listening as Kirsten Leigh and Jason Clarke brought the characters to life. Makes me want to go back and readALL the books in this series again. Brenna Aubrey does not disappoint!

My first book by Brenna Aubrey

This book is by a new to me author so I was excited to listen to it. Overall I thought I was a very good book. the storyline was interesting and it was well written.
I loved the Narrators. I had never heard Kirsten Leigh narrate anything before, but I loved her voice and found her very believable. Jason Clarke is one of my favorites. He could read the phone book and I would probably listen to it.
My only complaint is that the book seemed rather long. It dragged in places and probably could have been shortened and been just as good. However, this wasn't a big enough obstacle to keep me from finishing it.
So a solid 4 stars and now that I have found her, I am looking forward to listening to /reading more books by Brenna Aubrey
