Very good book

Story of Saxony is first year at Arturus. Things do not go as planned. Ryan sabatages Saxony and Gate's relationship and all her other friendships.

Fascinating

Twins, one is evil, one is not which one will she choose. A fantasy romance to keep you listening. The Narrator’s voice drew me in, wanting to find out more

I’ve long awaited for Saxony’s continued story to come on audible. It’s exciting, full of character development, and keeps you guessing. I really like the crew of characters in this book. And as always, Marni Penning is a gem!

Emotional Rollercoaster

I absolutely loved it! I was curious to learn about what Saxony was up to post element series. I was angry, disappointed, excited and sad. I really wish I had time for the physical copy of the next book, but sadly I have to wait until the audible version comes out

Fire!!

I love Saxony. She's one of my favorite from the elementals series and I was so happy to dig into her spin off. Knorr is an amazing writer and she picks the best to be the narrators. I can't wait to see where she goes!!

great story line

I loved this great story line it was fast paced and you did not know what would happen next! I will be fun to see what happens next to Saxony and all of the great character in their next chapter! Firecracker is a great read I had a hard time putting it down! I am looking forward to read book 2. A.L Knorr is a great story teller and Marni did a great job bring it all to life!

After getting through the beginning, I loved it

The beginning was honestly a bit of a slog because there's a chase scene that drags on for forever. But I got through it and things picked up tremendously after that. And details given within the chase were good to know all through the book later. Fire popping in the joints and all. The ending made me want to scream. I was so mad. I won't go into details though because, ya know, spoilers.

This book gave me all the feels. I laughed, I cried, I felt gooey at all the right moments. And I was downright FURIOUS with Ryan and Jade! Bullies. Ugh. I want to unalive Ryan. And really, I don't care how much Saxony is supposed to be attracted to Gage; he's an idiot. A blind, stupid idiot.

So kudos to the author for being an absolutely brilliant writer. She 100% sucked me into the book.

I didn't read Saxony's first book - Born of Fire - but it didn't hinder me in the least. No confusion at all. Knorr added just enough backstory along the way to get me through it without confusion. In fact, I now want to read Born of Fire because the little bit provided sounded awesome! Of course, now I know how it'll all end up etc, but I don't mind that.

The narrator has a wonderful voice! I loved her British accents most of all. I only had two beefs and I hate to say them, but I should. Her voice for Gage is difficult to listen to. Her other guys I began to accept as guys, especially Basil, but Gage was always just jarring. Then Saxony is supposed to sound husky, but there are times she sounds exactly like Gage. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable experience.

I received this audiobook for free and am leaving an honest review of it.

Saxony's Adventure Begins

I love A.L. Knoorr books. Her Elementals Origins series introduced us to Saxony and her Friends, here in the Arcturus Academy Series we continue Saxony's story. I love listening to Marni Penning read Ms. Knorr's books. If you have not read/listened to the first books I recommend you do that first. Do not continue reading this review as the following contains SPOILERS!

SPOILERS:

As the youngest student at Arcturus and the only Burned one Saxony is facing a year filled with unknowns. She is excited to see her crush, but not her crush's evil twin. In this book she faces trials and tribulations that are only the start. The story ends as it should leaving you want more.

This book 1 is a great opening to Saxony's story and I loved every moment.

Of course it was great!!

How fun to be able to follow Saxony through her first semester at Arcturus with all the challenges and intrigues one encounters at school. Evil twin Ryan trying to undermine her at every turn and sweet twin Gage doubting her… Amazing challenges await her in the classroom, being privately tutored due to her “burnt” status. All the details of her new skills really amazed me. Marni does an amazing job. It’s more a performance rather than a reading, all the accents and different voices make this so enjoyable. It was so much fun to follow Saxony’s life while cleaning and making dinner :) Give it a try!!
