The Living River Ranch has served thousands of visitors throughout its many years of operation through the love and commitment of Margaret, Matthew, and their families. The work is more difficult than what she had previously done, but it is so fulfilling that she loves it more each day. Unfortunately, the structural engineer they hired is full of himself, and his instant dislike toward her hinders her focus on work. When things start to take a rough turn with several critical buildings, Joelle rolls up her sleeves to find the resources needed and Blaine’s opinion toward her starts to turn with surprising results.

Blaine came out from California to do structural engineering design for Loving River Ranch while, at the same time, starting a hobby obstacle course business. He has had it with uppity and entitled people he lived with for most of his adult life. He understands that he might have more than most people, but something about Joelle has him acting like a petulant child. He wants to do his job and be left alone, but this woman is determined to get involved in more of his business than he wishes.
