During the summer of 1793, Mattie Cook lives above the family coffee shop with her widowed mother and grandfather. Very realistic and toching
Fever is one of the best books I've ever read! I listened to all 6 hours of reading in two days! You get feel and picture all the emotions Mattie feels. Its so real and very sad but touching. I would definitely listen to Fever 1793

History Comes Alive

Interesting
I enjoy YA books and history. This was a very informative story of a illness that I have never heard of. The misery is unimaginable! The story is told through through the point of view of 13 year old Mattie who must mature very quickly as this disease ravaged the city. The story is made bearable through the intense love of family and friends. I hope that Mattie was able to reach her goals and the life that she had dreamed off .
