Inspirational, Raw, and Entertaining

What an amazing book to have experienced. This is the first memoir that made me change the way I thought about myself and my journey. From treacherous tales, young love, and quips of humour, this books has it all. Beautifully written and narrated, I would recommend this to anyone struggling to come to terms with their own journey and acceptance of their path. The storytelling is captivating, and reels you in from the start. The way the tone and language change as the author grows and changes is natural, and keeps the story fresh and dynamic. A very entertaining book, though not surface level, this was a very enjoyable listen, despite the tough topics it tackles. Digestible and honest. I truly can't praise this title enough.

An emotional roller coaster worth the ride

An incredible memoir about the strength and resilience of an amazing woman. I’ve read the book but I wanted to support the audiobook as well. The audiobook is almost more impactful due to the female narration which provides more emotion then anyone’s internal voice. This story gives the listener a lot to chew on and reminds all of us that we need to protect our most vulnerable in society, along with being open to listening to others’ struggles.

Everything about this book was interesting and kept me listening! It was all good and continued moving along.

Inner strength!

Christine had such inner strength. A great story of her survival of such horrid circumstances. Yet, she came out the other side with such wisdom, courage and determination. As well as humor. A must listen too!

Survived

I liked the book, I also suffered sexual abuse from the time I was 4-16 yrs old. by 5 different people, I thought I could trust. I could really relate to the story.

I thoroughly enjoyed the narration and the story was very touching and deep. She goes into detail without going to deep. Thank you for sharing!

Strength & Perseverance

The amazing strength and conviction shown in this story, really blows you away. I did, consider returning the book in the beginning because I found the narrator voice and the way in which she read it annoying. I'm glad I didn't.

Well written

This book was very well written and the narration was excellent! It was difficult as a Mother to listen to this book and not hate Christina's mother! She had to know all those years. I give the author a lot of credit for coming forward and telling her story. I would love a second book to hear about Christina's life after her first 30 years.

last half to long

first half was so good then got boring was drawn out to long. being hard to follow.
