Pioneer spirit

I was very impressed with the writers knowledge of the period. This was a difficult time for people of that era. Christy has captured the art of the time which was cooking in Dutch ovens and heavy steel pots and pans. You can tell she has done her research if you know anything about this time period. Also, you may be expecting one love story and you end up with several love stories all tied together. This book is a lot of fun and lets you take a trip back in time.
