A London inheritance might change her fortune, but only love can change her heart.

In this charming variation on Jane Austen's beloved Pride and Prejudice, a surprise inheritance changes the Bennets' fortunes and creates new paths to love. With her signature sharp wit and deep understanding of human nature, Elizabeth must decide if her prejudices against London society—and a certain gentleman's pride—are worth holding onto when true happiness is at stake.

Perfect for fans of Jane Austen and Regency romance, this novel reimagines one of literature's most famous love stories while remaining true to the spirit of the original characters. Come along as Elizabeth and Darcy discover that sometimes the best tactical advantage in love is simply being oneself.

Super cute story. Grace Belton does a lovely job mimicking Jane Austen—at least enough from what I can recall.

Unfortunately, the story was lacking in more depth—even for a novella. It needed juuuuust a little bit more substance. (A few scenes more in London—of the men calling on the women, taking them to the museum or theater, etc.) and more realistic interactions—show them dancing with more gentlemen, etc. The concept is so fun, but definitely needed to play out with more development—more activities in London, better timeframe, more realistic grasp of the finances and societal circles (there is no way they would have been invited to the duchesses ball…) a few more things playing out could have made this a very excellent story.

Regardless, it was fun and cute and short and sweet—a perfect little listen without angst or drama, and an enjoyable twist on our favorite Pride and Prejudice hero and heroine.

The virtual voice narration was fine. Of course some inflection and pronunciations were off, but still relatively enjoyable.

Very Cute!
