This is the first book in the Society of Secrets series. I freaking loved this book. This was a fantastic twist to Alice in Wonderland story and characters. I can’t wait for the next book! Erin McGarry is a new narrator to me. She did a phenomenal job with all the different characters and accents.

Alice in wonderland

I enjoy a good twist on a classic and this was a dark twist on Alice in wonderland. We have our FMC Riley and she suffers a loss making her move and start over. Then she ends up in a secret society and there are so many secrets to uncover. The author took some of the characters from Alice in wonderland and twisted their dynamic around which made this fun. I loved the way riley interacted with her guys and had a blast reading this story.

Elite

I love this retelling of Alice in Wonderland (one of my favorite stories by the way), it definitely gives you a different version of it.
This school has secrets upon secrets that will have you turning the pages because you need to know what is going on. Rosemary has a way of pulling you in and not letting you go.
What a great way to start off this brand new world
I just finished the audiobook and absolutely loved it

Great story

So I definitely love the narrator of this book. The story is engrossing and keeps you wanting to listen and that is partly due to the narrator and the great job she does. The author is fantastic at story telling and I look forward to more from her.

We are all mad here

Elite was a masterful contemporary RH with twists of Alice and some of the other Wonderland characters mixed into the story. I loved that this book had so much going on...a secret society, deadly games, and unique characters. The author had me guessing what little Wonderland detail would be added next. Riley was a great character but the guys are the ones who really sold this book. Their little nuances and idiosyncrasies fit the Hatter, Rabbit, Knight, and Cat so perfectly. Throw in their individual stories and struggles and you just want to see them find their HEA. Great creative story telling. I can't wait to what the others bring to this series.

The audio for Elite really brought the characters and story to life.

Twisted (Gooood-twisted. So good.)

If you’re in the mood for a racy, sometimes dark, juicy read—this just might be the one! You really can’t go wrong with Johns, I’m learning.
This one is fast-paced and a contemporary read, but with fairytale vibes and instalove. It works, as you get to know the characters, you’ll see it’s all very well done.

🍄 Wealthy bad boys who never hear the word ‘no’ …
🐇 … and a heroine who isn’t intimidated by them.
🎩 Lots of group-play / voyeurism and general open-mindedness among these.
🍄 Corruption.
🐇 A very elite club … and of course 1-2 members who weren’t born w/ a silver spoon in their mouths, just keeping things real.
🎩 Academy setting (again: elite).
🍄 Mystery, riddles.
🐇 Danger, violence, captivity.

Overall, it wraps up pretty nicely, but I do hope to read on in this world, as I feel like it’ll only continue to get juicer. Very well done, and perfect for when you’re in the mood for something dark and twisted.

Now that's what I call a strange independent woman, Alice/ Riley was one of the best characters in this book. to be honest I wish there was another book. I do hope you guys enjoy this book as much as I did. the narrator did a really good job too.

Audible quality is atrocious

There is a very bothersome background noise, almost a white noise behind the narration for the entirety of the book. The storyline is odd and extremely fast paced. However, there were part of the book missing from the audible version so maybe when reading it vs listening the story doesn’t seem so underwhelming and rushed.
