It goes without saying that Eleanor of Aquitaine was a force of nature. She was the wife of kings, the mother of kings, a duchess in her own right, and a tool of no man. She was headstrong and independent in an age when women were essentially to be seen and not heard.

so simplified
I love history, historical fiction, and master courses, so in listening to this audiobook I expected a bit more depth...this was more of an overview, and maybe that was the intention, but for me the brevity was just disappointing. You did not have a chance to be into the story. I think that Eleanor deserves better. Ok if you want cliff notes.
