**Distorted is the first audiobook in the Alabaster Penitentiary series. It is a full M/M romance, with HEA. Each audiobook in this series is technically a standalone, though they are interconnected, so it will be recommended to listen to them in order, as references to this story will be made in future stories. Distorted is intended for mature audiences and open-minded listeners only! If you prefer the same old story, this audiobook won’t be for you.

Kept me engaged for the full 17+ hours

This book was definitely not boring. I'm not sure what that other reviewer listened to. The story stands out for being so different and well written. I love imperfect characters and the two MCs here we're perfectly imperfect. Both narrators were stellar. I rarely give five star reviews but I couldn't find anything to complain about here. Hoping the other books in this series will soon be on Audible. 🤞

Really good!

I’ve had this book saved for a hot minute but could never work up the energy to read such a long book. I was excited when I saw that the audiobook came out and it was amazing! The narrators did such a good job showing the emotions in the dialogue… especially the spicy parts. 🥵🥵 Can’t say to much about this book but it’s crazy but also weirdly wholesome. Loved it!

Amazing book and narration

Let’s talk narration. Simply perfection. Made me feel like I was right in prison with them all. I first had read this book and now listened to it. This was the best decision ever. I need to do Joyless now.

I kept seeing this book recommended and comments made and was a little nervous because it is so far out of my comfort zone but I found a group of friends to buddy read with and all I can say is WOW. WOW. WOW

I am not going to talk about to the book at all as I will not give away anything to do with the story.

This book took me on a wild roller coaster. It had me questioning my morals, falling in love with people I shouldn’t be, wanting to free prisoners. Seriously, what is wrong with me. This book is not for everyone and would affect people that have certain triggers.

This book is dark. This book will mess with your mind. Even after reading and listening to this story, I am still think about everything in the book and questioning everything. It’s twisted. I mean they are in prison. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows in prison people.

I am totally blown away with the writing and research that went into this book. I now need to listen to Joyless. I fell in love with some people I probably shouldn’t be. This book is one that you will never forget.

🤯 Putting the twist in twisted.

Between the author’s world-building and the narrators’ bringing that world to life ina very real way, I don’t think there’s a single emotion on the emotional scale that I did not feel while listening to this audiobook. To say Dash and Kemper earned their HEA the hard way is an understatement. I will definitely be continuing this series as the audiobooks become available because now I’m invested in the boys still at Alabaster getting their HEA too.

This book. I couldn’t stop listening to it. It’s phenomenal. I can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series.

mind fuck!

this book was truly distorted! so many mixed feelings. don't want to spoil, but there was so much sexual assault that it was hard to listen to. but then the twist comes. i love nyla k. but "for the fans" was soooooo much better!

I loved the whole storyline. It was SO well thought through out! I’ve read the whole series or rather listened to the whole series (because of my head injury, I have vision problems). I’m eagerly waiting for Fragments to come to be released on Audible! Nyla K. Is a genius!

Creepy but sooooo sexy

I think this book should have some trigger warnings (maybe it does and i missed them) due to the intensity of its content. Personally, I'm a freak so some of the content wasn't an unhappy surprise. Some of it was however and made me very uncomfortable, especially when it would become graphic.

17 hours of pure *PERFECTION*

Ms. Nyla K!!! Girl! i did not see that little twist coming!! The story of Dash & Kemp was nothing short of amazing. i felt like i experienced all the emotions Dash was going through: the anxiety, fear, anguish, the unknown. Ugh i could go on and on!
