Acerca de esta escucha
Washington would rather be playing basketball in the tournament instead of traveling to East Texas for a family reunion. He hates to read, but takes off on his own with a book to satisfy his parents. Washington travels back to the past where he encounters his ancestor Square and witnesses the brutal punishment of a slave when he is caught reading.
When he steps out of the circle of dirt, Washington fears he may never be able to return to the present or see his family again.

Historia
Before Josh and Jordan Bell were streaking up and down the court, their father was learning his own moves. In this prequel to Newbery Medal winner The Crossover, Chuck Bell takes center stage, as listeners get a glimpse of his childhood and how he became the jazz music worshiping basketball star his sons look up to. A novel in verse with all the impact and rhythm listeners have come to expect from Kwame Alexander, Rebound will go back in time to visit the childhood of Chuck "Da Man" Bell during one pivotal summer when young Charlie is sent to stay with his grandparents, where he discovers basketball and learns more about his family's past.

Historia
Acclaimed novelist Quan Barry delivers a tour de female force in this delightful novel. Set in the coastal town of Danvers, Massachusetts, where the accusations began that led to the 1692 witch trials, We Ride Upon Sticks follows the 1989 Danvers High School Falcons field hockey team, who will do anything to make it to the state finals—even if it means tapping into some devilishly dark powers. In chapters dense with 1980s iconography—from Heathers to "big hair"—Barry expertly weaves together the individual and collective progress of this enchanted team.

Dirt, a sensational work of art
The audible book Dirt, written by Teffanie Thompson and narrated by Ron Butler, is a dance between the written word and sound. Throughout the book, to draw readers and listeners into the setting, the author uses familiar names that the audience, and especially young readers, can relate to. Dirt is a time travel novel that captures the audience with much grace and grit.

Let’s eat DIRT
I ate it with my eyes, on paper. I ate it with my ears, on Audible. Everyone should eat DIRT.
This is actually my very first audible book. Like, the first book I’ve ever listened to instead of reading, not just the first one on Audible. I listened while I cooked and while I gardened with my hands in my own dirt and within 3 hours I loved the story more. In hearing I realized I lost an important part of the story when I read it. So thankful to pick up the story in whole. This is a beautiful story for any young reader and should be enjoyed by the entire family for inspiration to engage in your family’s history and to be grateful for the freedoms we enjoy and how they came to be.
