There was a lot of information given very quickly. I usually like information to be more drawn out so I can better understand what is being said. However, this felt like more of a starter book than an answer all'll of your questions book.

Great book a wealth of knowledge about horse care. A must listen for anyone who loves horse.

Winning Horse

Meredith is very knowledgeable about horses and it shows in each of her books, this keeps me coming back to get all of the education I can from her. It is important to me I have a horse that will win. She explains how to figure out what will add up to a winning horse.

Stating Place

This book was a great place to start, I felt. She brings up great things that you will need to think about or research. Definitely start with this book if you’re trying to figure out which breed you need for your needs in a horse.

Horse Purpose

As an aspiring horse owner I am embarrassed to say I never once thought about what else my horse would do for me. I only thought about having it to ride. Thanks to this book I have thought about other things my horse can do for me.

Highly Recommend

I highly recommend this solely for the narrator. She's great at conveying the message and not getting of the information wrong or lost.

I have more questions now than when I started the research process. But the author gave so much information and I found the descriptions she gave very helpful. Very helpful.

Breed Information

This one from Meredith focuses on the breed of horse you'll be taking home. She talks about preferences and behaviors and as always delivers extremely helpful information to all aspiring horse owners.

It was very informative! Gave you the responsibilities involved in owning a horse. Also possible expenses to keeping your horse healthy besides food.

Reality Check

I like that the author was very realistic with the audience about the difference between wanting a certain horse and being able to afford it and take care of it are two different things. I needed to hear that so I’m not unrealistic with my expectations.
