Very Good

I love Greek mythology and this one had it all. The main character was humble and this book mixed in some modern urban fantasy. His sword could talk, feel and act. I really enjoyed this as it reminded me of many Mangas I have read over the years. The story did have some slow parts but it didn't take too much away from the main story for me. I didn't mind it.

The narrator grew on me more in this book. I got used to the echo voices and it was much easier to tell people apart. Definitely worth a listen. I am looking forward to the next in the series.

Excellent!!

I love stories of mythology, the odyssey, clash of the titans etc. This story fall right in line, just set in our timeline. The adventure filled with misadventure, is done wonderfully in tune with the old stories. I really enjoyed the narration of it. Reminded me of an old tv show or radio drama. I look forward to listening to the next book to see what new misadventures awaits our heroes!

This book is a greek mythology-based modern urban fantasy/adventure story. A good sense of humor and great narration make for a really entertaining listen. If you like urban fantasy I would highly recommend this audio book. I hope there is more from this author/narrator duo.

Great.

Loved the novella, so I could not wait to listen to this one. One of the things I loved about this book is how the author puts his own take on a mythology that we have read about.
I gave it four stars because I did find it slow at times but other than this it is a good read/listen.

A Humble Demi-god

This story is about "Dev" Devcalion the demi-god son of Prometheus and whose uncle is Zeus. Prometheus gifted Dev with a magic sword that is called "Tray" The Betrayer that is sentient and his closest friend. Dev wants to find his own way in the world but is pulled back to reluctantly back to Olympus and that is where the troubles begin. One thing I enjoyed about Dev was that he puts his pride and personal feeling aside to do what is right and best. He follows a code that is unshakable and guides him. I really enjoyed it and recommend you give it a listen.

Great Fantasy Book

It's rare to find a fantasy book that's written in an easy-to-understand style which is why you won't see a lot of them in my library. But when the opportunity came along to listen to this one and review it in exchange for a copy, I took a chance and I'm glad I did.

Narrator David Bosco does a great job with the voices, offering just the right pacing and cadence to keep the suspense where it's needed, needling me not to put it down.

Coming of age against the backdrop of a fantasy is a nice change of pace for my taste and I'm glad there are more in the series.

I really wanted to like this after the prequel but I don't think it's the book for me but if you love Greek mythology and don't mind pushing your disbelief you will love it.

It's kind of like Hercules but with Prometheus son using a katana instead of Zeus son. There is a little inconsistentcies like we can talk all day about what fighting stance he is in (which doesn't seem to have an impact to the story other than to make sure we know he is a katana master) but when their powers are supressed they can magically unsupress them for no explained reason, or people that fell behind magically catch up.

Greek Mythology at its best!

I listened to a short story with these characters from this author and narrator earlier this year. This is a great continuation. The take on Greek mythology is very interesting. The story is non stop action and very entertaining. I highly recommend this author and this narrator.

David Bosco is an excellent narrator and brings life to every character.
