Acerca de esta escucha

From the bestselling author of The Butterfly Garden comes a suspenseful new series for the #MeToo era about vigilante justice, close friends, and getting away with murder.

Florida journalism undergrad Rebecca Sorley is like any other college student. She tries to keep up with her studies, her friends, and her hot-tempered roommate, Ellie, who regularly courts trouble with the law.

When a male student's remains are found in alligator-infested waters, the university warns students to stay away from the reptiles. But then a second body shows up, and the link is undeniable. Both men belonged to the same fraternity and had a reputation for preying on and hurting women.

Ellie has previously threatened to kill men who don't take no for an answer. Rebecca and her friends thought Ellie was kidding. But now a vigilante killer is roaming campus - someone who knows how to dispose of rapists. Someone determined to save female students from horrible crimes.

With each passing day, those who know Ellie become more convinced she's responsible. But if she is, stopping her might not be in everyone’s best interest....

Engrossing

I think this is one that would be better left to read rather than listen to. The narrator does a decent job with voices, but where it's not explicitly stated who's speaking, it's easy to get lost during conversations. Also, and this may just be me, but I felt the narrator gave away the murderer(s) much sooner than would have been the case if I'd read it for myself.

But the story was GREAT and I will definitely look for more from this author!

Great book

In the typical Dot Hutchison style, this book has a total unexpected conclusion. I love her characters, and how they develop throughout the book. It’s an excellent read and the narrator did a great job! I highly recommend this book and her other works.

I liked it!

First, I want to say how much I enjoyed this book. It's a story that truly made me think. I'm hopeful that women don't have to jump through such hoops to be heard in real life.

Great story!

Dot Hutchison writes about strong women in all her books. They get stronger as they experience the life she creates for them. I’ve read all her books. DH is a great story teller.

Wow, so thought provoking!

Great showcasing of the mixed messages women get all through their lives. Double standards abound in this world.

Go Gators

If you love thrillers that keep you on the edge of your seat and make you think about the world we live in, you will love Deadly Waters by Dot Hutchison. This novel is the first in the Rebecca Sorley series, and it follows a group of college students in Florida who are caught up in a series of mysterious deaths. Someone is using alligators to kill rapists and sexual predators who have escaped justice, and the police are clueless about who is behind it. The killer is motivated by a sense of vigilante justice, but also by a personal vendetta that will be revealed as the story unfolds.

Deadly Waters is a gripping and well-crafted novel that deals with serious topics such as sexual assault, rape culture, the #MeToo movement, racism, sexism, and how women are treated in society. The author does not shy away from showing the harsh realities of these issues, but also offers hope and empowerment for the survivors. The novel has received rave reviews for its realistic and engaging characters, its fast-paced and unpredictable plot, and its relevant and timely themes. If you are looking for a thriller that will challenge you and entertain you at the same time, you should definitely read Deadly Waters.

Feminine cultures

Pillow talk, midnight pajama values, vengeance of the feminist. Feelings and emotions laced with profanity. .Defund the police = lack of investigations . Girls are on their own while exams, studying and bothersome boys are enraging Jennas grand daughter. Who will be next. Chapter 27 is good. Last chapter, everybody assumed thats how it will end and it did.
