Interesting plot but poor execution

The overall idea was a unique and interesting idea, however there was next to nothing in terms of character development. Characters felt very one dimensional and it made it very hard to care about any of them.

I’m not going to sleep for a long time, but also the shining moments in the midst of all this carnage are so poignant and heartfelt I had to hold back tears

I love horror, but when horror has a solid plot, multidimensional characters you can love or love to hate, and a character arc that leaves you feeling like the sunrise after a hellish storm…

This book is all that

But be prepared

You have to go through a lot of darkness to break through the fire.

Adding Sami Ellis to my auto buy list. This was such a treat and now that I know I know, I’m going to listen again to enjoy all those layers

crazy twists and turns!

excellent writing, incredible narration, and so scary. I loved every second. Temple is such a complex girl and her journey to find friendship through all this horror and gore brings me so much hope and joy.

I had high hopes because it was hyped up. Honestly took me 4 months to finish which is insane. I loved the representation throughout though.
