This story is a nail biter. I am a Kelton fan. His way of story telling is so exciting. The

Captured the feeling of Texas during and after the Civil War.

Enjoyed, as is usually the case with Kelton, his capture of history and bringing it to life. Texas at the end of the Civil War was in strife and you can feel it through his words.
