Acerca de esta escucha
You can catch crappie all year long if you know where to find them and what techniques to use to catch them. However, crappie fishing is so technical these days, and we've learned so much about how to crappie fish because of the professional crappie-fishing circuits, that one book can't hold all the information. This book is the first of a three-part series on how, where, and when to catch crappie, with the best crappie fishermen in the nation. Many of these men have proven they are the best, because they've won crappie-fishing tournaments or been successful fishing guides for many years.
This audio version of Crappie: How to Catch Them Spring and Summer includes crappie pros like Ronnie Capps, who has won seven national championships and over $1 million with his partner Steve Coleman. We also have Malcolm Lane, Stokes McClellan from North Carolina, Billy Blakeley from Reelfoot Lake, John Woods, Kent Driscoll, fishing biologist and professional basser Ken Cook, and many others. We asked the questions that crappie fishermen want answered about how to find and catch crappie during the spring and summer months, and these fishing tips are the result. In the world of crappie fishing, no one man knows it all, and that's why I've interviewed so many fishermen, asked so many questions, and tried to get so many answers for you about how to fish.

Yes, you can catch and eat crappie during the fall and winter months. Often, at many places, you’ll catch more and bigger crappies in the fall and winter than you do in the spring and summer. To learn where to find and how to catch cooler weather speckled sides, we’ve interviewed a wide variety of some of the nation’s best tournament crappie fishermen and guides.

Because river systems are so unpredictable, I’ve felt the best way to get the most useful information on how to fish rivers for crappie is to talk to numbers of anglers all over the nation to learn their best tactics. In this book, I’ve gleaned crappie-fishing wisdom from three dozen crappie anglers and guides from a dozen states, who consistently catch crappie at all times of the year. The tournament crappie fishermen in this book fish most of the country at different times of the year on various river systems and lakes.

Channel catfish are native to fresh water areas, including reservoirs, lakes, streams, ponds, and rivers. They will usually choose a location with good breeding areas, an adequate food supply, and fairly warm temperatures. Channel cats prefer to build nests for spawning in hidden, hollow logs, rock ledges, and undercut banks, so the presence of these features may indicate a good area to look for catfish.

Originally published in 1994, this book was a fly-fishing phenomenon in the way Howell Raines' Fly Fishing Through the Mid-Life Crisis was. Taking his fishing hobby to near metaphysical levels, Ted Leeson tells about his passions: rivers, trout, and fly fishing. With wry humor and rare insight, he explores questions that engage most fishermen: What is it about rivers that draws us so irresistibly, and why does fly fishing seem such an aptly suited response?

Bass (specifically the black bass) is the most popular type of game fish in the US today. Of course, there are a number of different bass species that people generally just call "bass" or even "black bass". Examples of which include Guadalupe bass, Kentucky bass, spotted bass, small mouth bass, and largemouth bass. I’ll provide comprehensive bass fish information in the guide.

Historia
Originally published in 1994, this book was a fly-fishing phenomenon in the way Howell Raines' Fly Fishing Through the Mid-Life Crisis was. Taking his fishing hobby to near metaphysical levels, Ted Leeson tells about his passions: rivers, trout, and fly fishing. With wry humor and rare insight, he explores questions that engage most fishermen: What is it about rivers that draws us so irresistibly, and why does fly fishing seem such an aptly suited response?

Few people today can claim a living memory of Florida's frontier Everglades. Glen Simmons, who has hunted alligators, camped on hammock-covered islands, and poled his skiff through the mangrove swamps of the glades since the 1920s, is one who can. Together with Laura Ogden, he tells the story of backcountry life in the southern Everglades from his youth until the establishment of the Everglades National Park in 1947.

In his number-one best seller The Perfect Storm, Sebastian Junger describes Linda Greenlaw as "one of the best sea captains, period, on the East Coast." Now Greenlaw tells her own riveting story of a 30 day swordfishing voyage aboard one of the best-outfitted boats on the East Coast, complete with danger, humor, and characters so colorful they seem to have been ripped from the pages of Moby Dick. The excitement starts immediately, even before Greenlaw and her five-man crew leave the dock.

For more than 20 years, Heavey has staked a claim as one of America's best sportsmen writers. In feature stories and his Field & Stream column A Sportsman's Life, he has taken audiences across the country and beyond to experience his triumphs and failures as a suburban dad who happens to love hunting and fishing. This new collection gathers together a wide range of his best work - tales that are odes to the notion that enthusiasm is more important than skill and testaments to the enduring power of the natural world.

it had a lot of tips and tricks that enjoyed. The narrator had no idea about fishing and struggled with the words.

Very basic question and answer on crappie fishing
What was most disappointing about John E. Phillips’s story?
There was no story line it is just a bunch of interviews with various guides/fisherman about crappie fishing on various lakes
How could the performance have been better?
Whoever read this book has no clue about fishing. Very awkward pauses, words mispronounced, the worse narrator I have ever heard. I almost would have just preferred listening to a computer voice.
Any additional comments?
The book is okay I guess. Not good for audible at all though. If you are looking for crappie fishing tips you probably can find all you want online that are much better.
