Olivia Harper plans to take a fun road trip with her new boyfriend, Raife, from Texas to The Cold River in New Hampshire. For her, this would be a test of the relationship to see if it could work. Against the advice of her powerful father, Moses, and her own simmering doubts ringing in the back of her mind, she sets off with Raife and her puppy, Rufus.
