I’m so glad things have finally gotten a little hotter in the world of Hadley and Midus! Too bad a lot of that was the fires they were having to put out. Atlanta is a hopping, busy place that grabs them by the shirt hairs as many times as it can.

No matter the changes, trouble and heartache that comes their way throughout the book they come up swinging. Even disaster, pissy coven members and mutant alien roaches swarming, they try to put themselves out there, opening up about their pasts. Opening doors to their deepest, darkest and somewhat scary lives. It was one thing to think they knew what was happening and another to see those cards laid out on the table.

If this next chapter in their adventure taught us anything g, it was that these two are fighters. They’ll never back down or give up.

I can’t wait for the next installment!

Amazing read!

I’m stuck on the POA series! Hadley and Midas keep the action going in this installment of the series. They both have history they don’t want to share, but need to go make their relationship more even. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

I recommend this book but think you should start at the beginning of this series rather than on this book. Otherwise you may be lost.

Okay, this is another series that I started and then got to the point that the next book wasn't out yet (or the audio wasn't available). Anyway, it had been a REALLY long time (and many books) since I was back in the Hadley world and it took me a little while to remember. But, once I did, it was easy to jump back into the action.

The funny thing was that I immediately liked Midas. Why is that funny? Well, because at this point, I couldn't remember what the story arc was with those two (come on...you know as well as I do that sometimes the good guy ends up getting the shaft) So...I was afraid to become completely invested until I just thought..."what the heck...just go with it" So I did. And I just went with it.

This was a very easy and fun read/listen that moved the story arc along but for me, helped me to remember who was who, who Hadley's friends were, and WHY she was trying to save her city.

In other words...it was great.
