Exciting throughout and NO love triangle!!
I listened to this by Audible but I will end up buying the books in paper back. The narrator is excellent. Job well done! Not once was I bored or did I get sleepy and man oh man....was the chemistry off the charts between them or what?!! She was a spitfire and determined not to be bullied. There was some cussing, very little drinking and yes, there is sex but I will say the author didn't take it all the way to erotica for which I am grateful. Love this series so far!

Great Story with awesome narrator
I love this book so much. the twists and turns and adventures in it. River and Kobal are magnificent together. Brenda creates a wonderful world that draws you into the story. Her detailed words make it hard to not feel like you are a part of the story. Sonja Field does an amazing job narrating. She puts emotion behind every word and her voices for different characters is amazing. She is the best narrator I have ever listened to.

BLOOD AND GORE!!
AUDIBLE EDITION!!! NARRATION VERY GOOD!!
Okay I don't know why I am reading this The Road to Hell series. It is not like anything I normally would choose to read or listen too. The storyline is more in tune with the Young Adult mine. I just needed something different and out of my wheelhouse. Lots of blood, gore, fight scenes, weird demons, ghost and all kinds of weird creatures that have escaped from Hell.
Carved is about the journey River and Kobal take to get to the gate of Hell that has to be closed. Kobal and River relationship grows as they are each other's chosen mate. On their journey they run into to some very strange circumstances.
Anyway, I will keep listen to the audible editions to find out what happens when they actually get into Hell and their confrontation with Lucifer!!

Interestingly original and good storyline
Storyline is original based on my reading history and I love that it is not compacted into one book. Female character can be a bit whiny at times but I believe it’s based on the characters build.
Female only Narrator does a good job transitioning though I believe a sultry male voice would sky rocket this audiobook!

Carved was pack full of action and suspense. Some parts seemed to drag out which is why I gave the book an overall of 4 instead of 5. I still loved the story and the character developments. Will definetly be starting book 3 right away. And OMG with Hawk!!
