Once Erica enters his life, he questions if he has been living wrong all along. He soon finds himself falling for a young lady who didn’t have any business looking his way.

He wants to do right by her, but pursuing his position as the leader of the Brick Boyz and dealing with snakes from the past cause him to push her away.

This pastor’s daughter has some choices to make. Does she return to the flock, or fully enter the world of these kingpins?

Good book, but what happened to Pierre, why was Erica not able to reach him? And where was Brandon's brother?

whew that was some story! I thought I would definitely get more and was upset when it was over. But I'm dam sure happy they got Brandon's ass!!!!

Didn’t like the ending. Where was P when Erica was trying to call him? There was too many loose ends.☹️

What was the point of the book? I thought the book said Kingpins not love jones and to top it off it was incomplete it had nothing to do with nothing.. Smh.

An Incomplete Story

I found "The Kingpin" by T. Friday to be deeply disappointing and problematic. The title is misleading, and the inclusion of Carl Weber’s name feels entirely unjustified. The story is not only poorly executed but also romanticizes domestic abuse in a troubling way. I listened to the book from start to finish, hoping for some clarity, but instead, I was left confused and unsatisfied. The narrative follows a woman who escapes one abusive situation only to end up in another that’s not much better. This portrayal does not offer any meaningful insight or resolution, and it seems to perpetuate harmful patterns rather than addressing them. Overall, the book failed to meet my expectations and left me questioning its purpose.

I can’t

First, the only Kingpin was Cross. This was Trap Star Love Chronicles. Second, how do u end a story without finishing it? I have so many questions. Where is Pierre? What happens with the Pastor? Is the baby Tim’s? Does Erica stay? What about Nicole? How do u go from suicide attempt to shopping? That’s a reckless image to portray. U have got to be kidding me.
