hard to listen to

I actually did like the story but one of the narrators tried way too hard to make the person that they were representing in the story extremely ghetto and the voice was supremely irritating other than that the book was pretty good FYI it was one of the female voices

I wanted to listen to this myself because sometimes reviews are mixed but not this one... I dont like the narrators the men were ok, the story itself wasn't strong or believable enough to get into it. hope the 4th is better

Narrators

I Typically like all of the KingPin Novels and I enjoyed this one as well. But it was narration that kept me interested. The story was just ok. You can tell a woman wrote this one because every damn chapter was a sex scene, sometimes 2.For this to be KingPin novel it was lacking all the KingPin Shit .I wasn't aiming for a romance novel.

Terrible narration

I don’t normally write reviews but the narration on this was awful. Sometime the characters would sound “surprised” or “happy” in situations that didn’t call for that type of voice. I also didn’t like that there were multiple Narrators for the different characters.

Shannon voice pissed me off everytime I heard it! this one wasn't that great at all! I was kinda disappointed!

This story is missing so much information

I disliked the story because I feel like it was missing a lot of information and key pieces of the story was just thrown in the book with no real purpose to the story. I was lost from the beginning to the end and I would have liked more of a backstory for the characters.

The first part of the book with some of the backstories had nothing to do with anything. Characters were introduced and then just disappeared. What happened to Alecia's pregnancy? What happened to Dontay's marriage? What happened to Tracy?

Good read

Confused because description does not match the book. Dontay was ruthless and heartless. Desire was a young girl that fell in love with the wrong man. You don't find out until the end that Desire and Dontay younger bother are cops. When did they become cops? You don't hear anything about their career as cops. Overall good story. I don't see how this will tie into final the Kingpins book

It was okay..but

I can't imagine that it would be intentional for the authors to leave out pieces of the story. The storyline started, jumped into other storyline, and didn't really flow. It was interesting, but it was not the best story in the Kingpin series.
