Great military sci-fi

I've been listening to Scott's books while working as soon as I can get my ears on them. After Mech Wars and The Ixan Prophacy series I was looking forward to this set reaching Audible and Scott Bartlett and his narrator, Mark Boyet, continue to NOT disappoint. For any fans of Military Sci-fi this is a must listen.

So sad it's over!

Scott Bartlett kills it again! The continuing story of the galaxy fighting for it's life does not disappoint. The character development, storyline, and attention to detail created an engrossing epic that kept me on the edge of my seat. With the spot on narration of Mark Boyett I found my self seeing and feeling every twist, turn, and sudden course change! Time to move on to the After the Galaxy Series. Keep 'em coming!

Some good some bad

It's BSG and Gundam wing with a little bit of everything else. even some new ideas.

Make sure to listen to mech war first

As title states, I was unaware that the mechwar series actually takes place between this one and the first series. Got a little confusing.
I liked it until the 'twist'. Its hard to write without spoilers.
I kept listening and was happy enough, I just couldn't invest my interest as much near the end and the whole 'Blame the snowflakes!' thing got boring quick.
Was a satisfying end to the series, even with the above vague complaints.

Sweet Jesus

It was great to read a science fiction book written clearly with a conservative slant. It definitely speaks to the problems we face today.

Political

The book has so very much politics. I nearly considered stopping hallway. It did get much better later in the book.

Authors personal political blog not a Scifi Series

I enjoyed the first series of books and thought they were great despite the reviews about political and corporate views mentioned in the comments. I was able to overlook the politics of the first series because it didn't make up the bulk of the story. This is not so much a Scifi Space opera as it is the author's personal blog for his political gripes It also does not matter what side of the politics you fall on. Still continuing to read on it appeared to taper off and get back to what makes this author/narrator couple so great. They story progressed very well and this turned out to be a very pleasurable read.

Unable to stop

legalities, I was given this book free of charge in exchange for an honest review. I have done several of these in all kinds of genres. I've even given one a one star and I hate don't that but the book was so bad, n not Scott's universe, Scott had brought to life another installment in a universe rife with me life, new promise, and ever changing challenges. Buckle in because you won't be able to stop. I literally read straight through all of the books. took me a month and a half. the emotional roller coaster, the twists, it's a story you'll never forget.

Excellent adaptation to modern culture. strong characters and phenomenal world building. I love this series. must read A+

Great Story!

The narrator really made you feel like you were right there with the characters. He altered his voice for individual characters in a way that made following the story almost seamlessly. The story itself is the high quality that I have come to expect from this author. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who loves military sci-fi.
