Such a great story! Definitely more plot heavy than some of her other books but I actually really enjoyed that! Such great world building (per usual) and the characters were so great!!!! Lower spicy than some of her other stuff but once it happened it was spicy and (k)naughty 😉!

Loved it!

As a Ruby Dixon fan, I was pretty excited for this book. It did not disappoint. Honestly it even exceeded my expectations. You can tell that a lot of care went into creating these characters and this world. The romance had me giggling and blushing. Loved it!

Fantastic performance and amazing story!

This is the first audiobook I have listened to since I was a kid. An absolutely wonderful captivating story with a beautiful romance. It was all I could think about since the moment I picked it up.
The performance of the two voice actors was outstanding! Such a wide range for both of them with so much emotion.
Definitely a must listen, a masterpiece all around.

Very cute & lovely plot!

The world setup is great and the characters are delightfully written. I really hope this isn’t a stand-alone would love to see more of the this world.

This book is so much fun, I loved the story and the narration was perfect. Ruby Dixon has created a wonderful world and a fun group of characters. The love story is adorable and the spice is doing what it's supposed to do!

Fun fantasy world

An intelligent, caring heroine, an honorable, hard-working hero and a captivating fantasy world throwing up obstacles for them to overcome make a great escape. The spice is a great topping to to a wonderful story.

So much better than I expected

The narrators did an amazing performance with the duet style narration.

The story is so incredibly endearing and funny! The characters are unique and real even though it is high fantasy you get sucked into this world.

This is not smut but the spicy scenes are spicy.

Laugh out loud funny, and incredibly endearing

If you saw the cover and thought, “Is that a Minotaur and a woman?”, your eyes did not deceive you. This is indeed a paranormal romance and no, he doesn’t occasionally transform into a beast, he is quite literally a Taurian 100% of the time. So if that suits your fancy, you absolutely have to read this book.

Aspeth is an incredibly naive heiress from high society that’s trying to join a guild of treasure hunters. It’s been her lifelong dream, and now that her family is secretly poor, it seems like the perfect time to disappear and start a new life. Unfortunately, she’s going to have to earn her place in the guild and its current members think it’s no place for a lady.

Bull Moon rising takes the vibes of Indiana Jones and smashes them into a historical romance. It was such a fun mix of two genres I enjoy. Aspeth is so out of her league despite how much she wants to be part of The Guild. Where she lacks the physical strength and dexterity to actually navigate the treacherous tunnels, she more than makes up for in brains. I loved her tenacity! Despite how challenging joining the guild is, she doesn’t give up. She’s got so much stacked against her. Including a terrible mentor, and a team of fellow recruits that don’t entirely believe in themselves, and a brooding Taurian who doesn’t want to help them.

Only Lady Aspeth refuses to let any of that stop her. She comes up with the crazy idea to marry the Minotaur in exchange for his mentorship. He can’t be any worse than Guild Master Magpie, who’s too intoxicated to teach their team.

I was fully sucked into this world and loved the Indiana Jones-esque quality to it. I was fully invested in the treasures they were finding. Although the storyline was slow at times, I flew through the audiobook. The narrators did an incredible job bringing the characters to life, and I found myself blushing up a storm when the Conquest Moon finally arrived. Aspeth had no idea, what she was signing up for.

This book was truly adorable. The ending was so sweet, and I loved the way the story unfolded. I’m very interested to see where the series goes next.

Ruby perfection and wonderful narration

I love that RD’s stories are heavy on the romance with just enough story context. I enjoyed learning about this new world but my take away is the male narrator. He was awesome. His voices matched each character flawlessly!!!! Well done sir.
