Building a mobile off-grid solar system can be intimidating to most beginners. Trust me, I used a portable generator for the first couple of years of van life.
But understanding the basic principles of off-the-grid solar power can probably save your life if you start connecting wires before you understand what they all do.
My name is Judson Crawford, and I've been a true nomad now for nearly a decade, so if there's anything I know how to do, it's survive on the road.
Off-grid boondocking is one of the most fulfilling life experiences you can have because it removes your safety net (your home) and forces you to think on your toes instead of being complacent day-to-day.
But one of the biggest challenges of living off the grid is how to transition your power needs to your new home on wheels.
My book will show you how to achieve mobile off-the-grid solar power for your RV, boat, or van, so you can easily understand it and put the pieces together yourself (alongside a licensed electrician, of course).
I show you how to gauge your current use, the importance of downsizing your electrical needs and how to pivot to more energy-efficient means to power your electronics.
Electricity is a complicated subject - and it's dangerous too!
But my book will break down the concept of solar power and how your solar system components work together to create electricity, so you have the wherewithal to think before you act.
