Excellent story

Narrators are both amazing! The story was very well written with exciting characters. Some very heartfelt moments.

Good Girl

This Audiobook was filled with suspense and spice. The FMC, Stevie, is hiding from her past and working two jobs to support herself while attending community college. The MMC, Roman, is adapting to his new life as an uncle, taking over guardianship after his sister passes away. I was hooked on the plot, but there were many frustrating parts. How was Roman, an FBI profiler who did not connect the dots? Then, how was Stevie keeping her past a secret when innocent women were getting killed? The MCs were likable, and Roman, a protective alpha, made up for his dumb moments.

Enjoyed it

It was a decent book, but I’ve read the entire series and this has been my least favorite so far. Something about the flow of the story felt off. I liked the plot. It was really easy to guess what would happen but it kind of left you waiting anxiously for *when* it would happen so that kept me wanting to keep listening to see when it would happen. That was a welcomed thing. I would have gotten a little bored without it. The female narrator was also a little off. She would vacillate between whispering so I would have to turn it up to hear her and then suddenly talking really loudly. She also had really strange pauses. It almost sounded like someone reading poetry with the kind of pauses that leave off the end of the thought and then say it after the pause for more emphasis. While this works great for poetry, it kind of throws off the vibe of a book. Especially in more intimate scenes. She does have a nice voice though.
