Book 1 is the set up. Book 2 is the delivery
I had troubles with book one as I have read the entire Doc Holiday series. The book was good, but it was like watching season 6 before season 1.
However, M.M. Crumley masterfully lays a trap to lure you in with that hooks you in the book. The emotion, the danger, and charecter development attack you from all sides emersing you in the story.
Micheal Cummings hits it out of the park. I know the series is in print. And I could get instant gratification from continuing the story. Micheal breaths a life into the charecters that my imagination just could not do.
