Truly a Heartbreaking and Inspirational Book

I’m so glad I listened on Audible to Ginny (a longtime friend and inspiration) telling the story of the special bond she and Bart shared. I could hear the love, pain, anger and forgiveness in her voice with each story she shares. I felt like Ginny was sitting right next to me telling me this heartbreaking yet beautiful life changing experience. Throughout her narration I experienced so many emotions from tears to laughter and everything in between. I will be forever moved by Blue Star Grit. Thank you Ginny. ❤️

Inspiring and authentic

Amazing story of the struggles of mothering and loss and life. Every parent should read this. Knowing there is a better way than what most of us are told with parenting and having compassion and honing those skills is what makes for a much more peaceful life. So grateful for this book and Ginny for writing it and sharing her soul.

Finding joy in grief

Ginny's story, read in her own voice, has to have been the ultimate challenge for her in coming to grips with every parent's nightmare. I read the print edition, attended a book club meeting with her as guest speaker and then got the Audible edition. I marvel at her words and her strength. Everyone should read this.

Every chapter brings the opportunities to look beyond the traditional life of a mother

I had the privilege of being a parent in Ginny’s classes and support groups. I strongly include her in THE VILLAGE that raised my children. I had nothing in my childhood that I could implement or model to raise my children and I feel so grateful for learning from Ginny.
