Excellent follow up

This book was filled with subtle humor and creative twists and turns I did not expect. Can’t wait for the next book.

Too many threads, and non-linear progression!

This is series just gets better and better. I’m not exactly sure what sub-genre this is, but it’s amazing. We have great main characters, amazing world building, and and very unique magic system. Oh, and and story so compelling it’s like binging on Netflix. I

wow, just wow. good stuff

not sure why almost the entirety of this series is free to listen to, but Im super stoked on it. I'm starting book 6 now and it's been 3 days...it's just enveloping and the intricacy of the universe, unique magic, fairly developed characters, and a punch after lunch high octane story that will give you whiplash if you miss even 15 minutes. Baldree is a new voice for me but does a phenomenal job and I'll have to look into other books he's lent his voice to. All around it's just a solid story that keeps on getting better, pacing is pretty good, sometimes feels rushed, but when you start to grasp the sheer size and complexity of the story coming together, its much more impressive how cohesive and comprehensive the delivery is, I've listened to way too many books that just overloaded into an headache of tangled discombobulated clustertruck and I just lost interest in attempting to untangle the mess and gave up. This series does such a good job delivering at a good pace with a balance of foreshadowing, character development, and world building

One of the best books of the series

I've read and listened to this series more times than I can quickly count, because it's just that good. This book introduces one of my favorite characters in the series and truly entrenched this series as one of my all time favorites. If you're looking for a fantasy series to read, I promise you won't be disappointed

Disappointed

The story is excellent, but it follows the same trope of another weak mc story. Start weak and ridiculed but still bright, but instead of running with that, then give the mc an op power up. I hope this author change this trope in later books

I am very content with the character development and plot progression. I am burning through this series way too fast!
