Fantastic!!

A non-traditional romance that bloomed between Eduardo and Chloe. They fight the obstacles to their relationship. I voluntarily reviewed this Audiobook.

Taboo romance. 1POV. HEA. Standalone.

This is s “sizzling” romance novel with a stripper/preacher relationship. The narration is great. This can be read as a standalone novel but it is included in a series.

😐 I gave this book only 4/5 stars bc I feel like there was a missed opportunity with the taboo aspect. Not enough instances when it comes to exploration of the “wrongness” of the relationship. Also, the male character seems to say I Love You with no inner dialogue and seems out of the blue.

Faith and maintaining one's values are work.

So many think to judge others choice's. When keeping their own priorities should be the priority. Cool story well narrated. Very easy listening. Steamy moments just a bit on forbidden side.🤭

Intriguing

A different, intriguing sexy story. The bishop and the stripper. Add the Barnes bunch and it’s more than you can ask for. Eduardo is a sexy pastor. Hot forbidden love story.

This was my first audiobook by this author. Loved the hot and steamy scenes. Chemistry, story line and angst was all perfect.

An eclectic mix of characters ~

Audiobooks give me an added ability to enjoy more books when I don't have time to actually sit down and read.

Bishop's Desire was interesting in so many levels. Although we have the steamy story that I love it's so much deeper. Chloe starts off a bit wild with reason, then turns a little less likable to me. But in the end she redeems herself. Bishop has it all. Sexy, smart with wisdom that pulls the strings of my heart. He inherits an eclectic mix of family which just enhances this story. I'll admit this is the first book in the series I've read but it won't be the last. The author offers so much in just this one book, I don't think I could resist learning more about the Barnes family and what comes next.
Note; I have to add the narration was on spot. Sometimes the voice doesn't match my expectations, but I am extremely happy with the choices made here.

Hot

This was not the story I was expecting, it was way better. I always wonder how a pastor lived in N.O. and never got temped. The narration on this book was awesome. I loved the story and the back and forth between the characters.
Now, I have to grab the others in this collection to see how everyone else faired!

Taboo and dirty

Sooo… BISHOP’S DESIRE is a bit over the top, and definitely unbelievable at times. But, hell, have you read that blurb? What did you expect from a story of a priest falling for a dancer? I went in ready to enjoy some forbidden sexy smuttiness – and enjoyed the hell out of it, as I knew I would, because this is not the first book by Normandie Alleman that I’ve read, or, in this case, listened to.

Eduardo hasn’t had it easy in life. His mother passed early and with being raised by a priest and his wife – in addition to a few poor life choices –, his choice to devote his own life to the church as well just feels natural. That is, until he meets Chloe at a strip club. And slowly, his priorities start to shift…

Chloe, however, has her own problems to solve, her own demons to fight. A relationship is the last thing she wants right now. But when life throws her another curveball, she might just not have another choice than to agree to that shocking proposal “Bishop” throws in her direction…

This one is the third in a series, it can, however, completely be read as a standalone. It’s full of smut, little twists and turns, and, yes, again, the one or other unbelievable act or reasoning. If you’re looking for a deadly serious, factually accurate story from start to finish, look elsewhere. If you enjoy your smut taboo-ish and slightly crazy, this is the one for you.

I totally recommend the audio version, Aiden Snow (my first listen by him) and Alicyn Aimes (loved her from previous audio books by Normandie Alleman!) do a terrific job adding additional layers to the characters and make the story even more enjoyable.

Great addition to the series

Bishop's Desire is the first book in this series I have had the pleasure to listen to. I really enjoyed both narrators, Aiden Snow and Alicyn Aimes, added an extra layer to the story which is always appreciated. Bishop Eduardo Soto and Exotic Dancer Chloe Thomas make an unusual couple for anyone looking from the outside in but these two have a lot more in common that one would have guessed.

After reading the first two books in the series I was wondering how Eduardo and Chloe's story would ties into the Barnes family series especially since neither of them hold the surname of Barnes but it is explained pretty quickly, and NO I am not going to tell you - you'll just have to grab your own copy and find out for yourself, I was pretty shocked by the revelation but really it shouldn't have been that surprising.

I loved Eduardo and Chloe together, their story was not smooth sailing but we do get an HEA along with what I hope is a glimpse into the next book..Leo's story (fingers crossed). If you have read any of Normandie Alleman's books before you know they are HOT and this one is no different, HOT and STEAMY is the way to go for the Bishop and exotic dancer. This is a quick read, or listen, and can be done in just an afternoon. This book can be read as a standalone but I recommend the series so why not read them in order that way you can follow each of the Barnes Family members as they find their HEAs. Happy Reading!!!
