great but sad store
Wow, even though some parts of this book is hard to listen to, I would say these books are the best books I have ever listen to. Great job I can't wait to start the next one.

Wow
It shakes me to my core to know things like this happen everyday. Because of 2 corrupt people they were able to hide this families horrific crimes. Only 2 people? There had to be more people willing to look the other way cause it suited them. Louise allen is a fantastic writer her content isn’t for the faint of hearts but it has to be said for everyone to realize these kind of problems will not go away or get better without making people uncomfortable and pushing for what is right. It’s truly sad!

Great narration and a very well written story. it is unfortunate that children have to endure such horrible things. I am grateful for people out there that help them and have great patience.

How
I've known many a messed up family. Myself and my own biological father were adopted by the same people. My mother didn't know her father until 5 years ago. she grew to believe someone else was her father. but this..... why? how? I don't understand!?!? this is one of the toughest reads I have ever read.
Growing up not knowing when abuse started and it always being a part of your life is very difficult. if you don't learn how to mimic acceptable behavior young, you become the outcast. All my hope and prayers for these children. even those struggling today, I wish them healing and love.

A very heartwarming book that will break your heart at the same time.
Read any of Louise Allan's books about fostering children. They are all amazing! We certainly need more of this type of fostering caregivers.

Heartbreaking
A truly heartbreaking story about the horrible things adults do to a child and children just to earn money with no regard to the damage caused to the innocent victims. I cried when I read what truly had happened to Billy and his siblings. Devastating
