Another fantastic story!

I have NOT found a book by this author that I haven’t loved! The author has a way of writing a story that has you hanging onto your seat to find out what is going to happens. I don’t even need to know what the story is about I just get it because I know I will falling in love with it. She is a very talented writer.
The narrator aka David Quimby does a fantastic job with the characters and the voices of each character making it easy to distinguish between the characters. He is a delight to listen to. I definitely recommend this audiobook.

Mike & Anna!

It was time we got back to Prescott! I have been missing the McBride men and this one is especially wonderful. Mike McBride, the sheriff is getting ready to run for re-election. Anna is an event planner with a secret. Working on the sheriff's debates is the last thing she should be doing. But the connection between Mike and Anna is palpable, and leads Anna down a path she never wanted to go. Deceit and lies, love and passion all flow through this story and the end results could be devastating! What will happen when her secrets are revealed? Will Mike still love her? What will become of her reputation and family? And where will it all lead? Give this one a listen to find out! The McBride men are well worth giving them your heart!

David Quimby continues his narration of this series, and I love him in the western mode. He is perfect as these men, and Mike comes through with the best personality. I always enjoy his performances and hope to hear more from Prescott!

injustice and jealousy and greed

I was so angry most of the time while I listened to this. I was angry about the evil and the leverage it exerted and the damage it caused. I was mad that Anna couldn't be stronger and caved to the evil. I was beyond disappointed in Anna's lack of integrity. She knew what she was doing was wrong and she still did it. Mike could have helped and changed things if Anna had been honest and given him a chance. Mike deserved better, but the heart wants what the heart wants!!?? Mike was a hero and a sacrificial lamb at the same time. I'm still angry as I write this and it's only a story but sadly this does happen in real life. smh. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.

An Election and Love Story

I love a good western love story and this was Anna and Sheriff Mike McBride's story. Mike is running for election against a high school rival who doesn't care if he plays dirty. Anna knows it's dangerous to spend time with Mike but she can't help herself. Secrets are hard to keep to yourself.
The narrator is my favorite and he did a terrific job of the various voices and capturing the emotions in the story.
Time well spent.
