👋 Slaps Even Harder the Second Time
The first time I read Believe In Better, it made a big impact. Damon’s message stuck with me and challenged how I think as a leader. But the second time—listening to the audiobook—it resonated even more deeply.
The audio reinforced a lot of what I'd learned and brought a new level of energy and conviction. In fact, the experience directly influenced how I approached a recent business challenge. While panic was spreading in our industry over reciprocal tariffs, I leaned into what I’d absorbed from the book. Instead of reacting out of fear, I saw an opportunity. That shift in mindset helped me influence our executive leadership team, and now we’re executing a plan that could turn a potential hardship into real market share growth.
Also, I’ve got to say—I’m a huge fan of Damon’s unapologetic use of the F word. It’s not just for shock value; it’s real, raw, and authentic. He doesn’t just talk about showing up as your full self—he does it.
If you’ve read the book, do yourself a favor and listen to it too.
