With time dwindling on Marjorie's resignation, their hiring process hits a snag and his mother - without his knowledge - sends one o,f her own people to help out during the transition. The male assistant he was expecting named Alex turns out to be the quick-witted, extremely beautiful female distraction he never knew he needed or wanted on his property. Through a hilarious battle of wits, these two polar opposites will battle each other every step of the way, while learning that sometimes the hardest fought battles lead to the sweetest surrender.

Better in print?

Couldn’t appreciate the story when the female voice was mostly impossible to hear…some whispers, some just sounded like dead air.

Horrendous audio

Good story but the audio is headache inducing. It sounds like it was recorded in a bathroom on a really cheap phone. For most of it, Alex's lines are in a low whisper that's barely audible if at all. What happened to quality control???

Short romance!

I really liked this book and finished listening to the audio. While the narrator was not at all THAT bad, i have to mention the quality of the audio and the fact that the narrator was whispering Alex's voice was off putting😏

Audio is horrible

Unable to hear the female voice at all, the story might not be so bad but it's hard to know since you can't hear it all.
