Consistantly light Regancy romance with gentle humor & engaging characters.
The individual stories are predictable but saved from tedium by the excellant narration of Davina Porter.

Would absolutely petition for a mini series of this! it was so enjoyable and easy to listen.

Satisfying conclusion to the Series

Sixth and last installment of the Poor Relation Series. Set in the Regency period.

Another light, entertaining novel. All loose ends are tied up nicely - and Lady Fortescue finally chooses between her swains.

The main story is another transformative one (shy, but titled, depressed rustic ends up a charming, and happily poised Lady).

The narration is, as ever, wonderful.

Fun to listen to and a refreshing escape.,

The series is well produced and performed. The over-sized characters and clean script make for excellent escape romance entertainment. Highly recommend.

Love this series by MC Beaton

MC Beaton is one of my favorite authors. Newly discovered this series of hers and enjoyed it immensely. Davina Porter is the most wonderful narrator!

All good things must come to an end.

I will miss these characters. They have been so entertaining! I thoroughly enjoyed all six books. The series continued to include all the original characters which I really liked. Oftentimes a series will basically dismiss them and introduce new characters loosing the thread of the original story. I tend to loose interest in s series like that. I never lost interest in this one. Plus the narrator kept her voice inflections consistent throughout. I would highly recommend this series!!

this is the conclusion of the group hoteliers of a hotel called the poor relations.
this book finishes the tale when they finally decide they are welthy enough now to be back in the social society they fell from in the first book. it has all the romantic comedy and tales of london society at the time of Napolian.
very good book for light romantic comedy.
M.C.Beaton is in top form with this series.

Davina Walker is an excellent reader for this type of book non better.

Once I started reading this series I could not put them down. I love good romance novels and the characters are so delightful
