Wonderful story. Terrible narrator

While I really want to support the authors, I will avoid listening to this narrator. Why wasn’t she coached ? She mispronounced so many words. Here are only a few of the many examples : Mercantile was always “Mer-San-till.” Heifer was “high-fer.” And invalid was “in-Valid.” There were numerous others. Totally ruined listening to it.

the collection was a good story, however the last 4 books were short and seemd rushed. leaving the characters undefined, there wasn't much thought there.. but over all a good listen with the glaring exception of narration first let me say that she had a very strong, steady, and comfortable cadence.. BUT THE MISPRONOUNCED WORDS GRATED THROUGH OUT, it made me thing she just didn't care or take the time to learn the vanicular concerning the story. to paint a picture I belive one needs accurate information and as few distractions as possible, so everytime she MISPRONOUNCED simple words like livery, mercantile, and others I was distracted.. this is my second try at listening to this collection, honestly the first time I couldn't take the narration.
