Acerca de esta escucha

One stolen painting. Two gentlemen at cross-purposes. And a love that complicates everything...

When his sister's treasured painting vanishes from Pemberley, Fitzwilliam Darcy will stop at nothing to hunt it down. But his well-meaning cousin has other plans—dragging a furious Darcy away from his most promising lead and into the countryside "for his own good."

Peace proves impossible when he encounters Elizabeth Bennet, a fiercely independent young woman with a sharp wit, a knack for humor, and a dog with more enthusiasm than sense.

Just as Darcy's heart begins to paint a future with Elizabeth, he spots the missing masterpiece in the most inconvenient place imaginable. Now, caught between stubborn fathers, country scandals, and his own growing feelings, Darcy must find a way to keep his promise without losing the woman who's stolen his heart.

Who knew one painting could threaten both his sister's happiness and the greatest love he's ever known?

A witty, romantic escapade full of hidden clues, tangled hearts, and unexpected love. Perfect for fans of heartwarming mischief, charm, and reluctant heroes.

An (Un)believably Artful Theft is a light-hearted, sweet Regency romance inspired by Jane Austen's timeless classic, Pride and Prejudice.

Art and dogs that steal the story

This variation centers around art and those who create their own. Mr Bennet was a third son with no expectations of inheriting, so he studied and became an artist. Thus, he was not brought up to know how best to manage an estate. No major spoilers as you find out rather quickly that the estate is falling on hard times and Elizabeth is doing everything she can to keep her family fed. Elizabeth learned to paint from her father and secretly started to sell her paintings. Now, what do you think happens when new neighbors move in and display Elizabeth's paintings, but someone else claims them as their own? I liked that Georgiana was at Netherfield and became friends with Elizabeth and together with two dog buddies helped several people learn a few important lessons. This was such a fun story it will be one I gladly read or better yet listen to the audiobook again!

Need some joy? Listen to this.

Stevie Zimmerman is masterful in her presentation as always. An (Un)believably Artful Theft is exactly what Jennifer Joy’s fandom will love—a blend of humour, heart, and just the right dose of mayhem that will leave them grinning from ear to ear. Elizabeth’s secret life as an artist provides an excellent touch, giving her character an “occupation” that felt both true to her spirit and entirely fitting for this story. She captures the essence of Darcy and Elizabeth perfectly while adding fresh twists that make this story unforgettable.

Jennifer’s super talent for lively dialogue always satisfies and delights me. The teasing among Darcy, Colonel Fitzwilliam (Richard), and Georgiana had me laughing out loud, but she also doesn’t neglect the solemn moments regarding Georgiana’s past error that demand a more serious tone.

And then there were the animals! Remy and Archie, two lively dogs that belong to Elizabeth and Bingley, respectively, and Jemima the duck (from a previous novel, Dangerous When Wet) added even more joy with their diverting antics, often stealing the spotlight in the best possible way.

Caroline Bingley’s role as the villain in this plot didn’t disappoint, either. Her comeuppance and just desserts was served up by someone you might not expect—I wanted to shout “Booyah”!

I believe this is the last book in the Loves Little Helpers series, and I feel like it’s hard to say goodbye, and like all the others, this book left me with a smile and that happy, full-hearted feeling of a story well-told. I also know that whatever Jennifer Joy serves up next will also be worthwhile reading. I can’t wait to see what she’ll delight us with next. If you haven’t yet read the books in this series of stand-alone books, I highly recommend them all. I guarantee you’ll have difficulty choosing a favourite!
