great mystery!
Wanted to read this book because of the setting, and was not disappointed. The story and characters were good, too. In fact. we booked a room in an historical hotel for an upcoming trip vs a new chain hotel because of Allie's struggles!

Definitely recommended if you’re curious about “Cozy Mysteries.”
First of all, this isn’t my genre. I’m not even the target audience. That being said, I loved this little story. This is perfect for when you just need a fun story that’s not too deep with normal people as characters. The fudge recipes throughout the book are interesting to listen to as well. I don’t cook or bake, but it makes me want to at least try.
The narrative was great too. She was consistent, and her inflection as the main character both speaking and her thoughts was perfect.
