“If you should flee, no matter where you run, I will always follow.”

CECE

I thought getting a linguistics degree would land me a decent job, not get me shipped off to an alien planet ruled by barbarian warlords with tails. But that’s exactly what happens when my own government kidnaps me, along with a bunch of other women, and drops us on a brutal desert planet in the name of research.

But the mission goes wrong. Because of course it does.

Soon enough I’m separated from the other humans and stuck with a seven-foot-tall alien warlord who will not leave my side. He doesn’t speak English, but his dark eyes and massive body speak volumes.

I need him to survive and find my friends. But am I willing to give him what he wants when what he wants...is me?

BUROUDEI

When I saw the face of my future fated mate in the sacred Lavrika pools, she was unlike anything I'd ever seen. I thought that fate was wrong, or that maybe I'd gone mad. But then when she falls from the sky, crashing into my desert, my fate becomes my reality.

She is small, and pale, and fights me every chance she gets. But everything in me calls to everything in her, and she represents the salvation of my tribe.

She is mine. I will destroy anyone who tries to take her from me.

But what if the one who tries to take her from me...is her?

"Alien Tyrant: A Fast-Paced Sci-Fi Romance That Keeps You Hooked"

Alien Tyrant by Ursa Dax is a fast-paced, addictive read that lays the groundwork for an intriguing series. At first, it seems like the story might be rushing through details, but it quickly becomes clear that it’s intentionally setting up a larger narrative without sacrificing important information.

The story follows a group of women from different countries on Earth who are abducted and taken to another planet. There, a celestial being reveals to alien warriors their destined mates—human women they’ve never encountered before but instantly become desperate to claim. Each woman has her own backstory, but none have deep ties to Earth, making their abduction all the more mysterious. The bigger question remains: why did the United Nations orchestrate this mass kidnapping, and who was behind it?

Of course, communication barriers and cultural differences play a major role in the story, but emotions bridge the gap in ways that make sense given the characters' pasts. The novel gradually unveils the deeper connections at play, especially the influence of the celestial force that binds mates across galaxies on a profound, heart-level connection.

As for the romance, the tension builds from the very first chapter, though it takes time before things escalate physically. Meanwhile, the alien warriors—belonging to five distinct tribes—are brimming with testosterone, and their desperate need for balance (in the form of human women) is palpable.

This book is highly recommended for readers who love sci-fi romance with well-paced world-building, compelling tension, and a sense of mystery that unfolds throughout the series. Be warned—once you start, you’ll likely want to spend all your Amazon credits devouring every installment to uncover the full story behind these intergalactic fated mates.

Disappointing

I was really looking forward to this book, but found myself disappointed. The romance between the 2 main characters was ok, but information on the society was lacking. I would expect that since it is part science fiction I would be given more important information on the planet. We don’t even know if they are hunter gatherers, agrarian or solely a warrior society. Maybe the other books in the series provides more information. This 1st book I find lacking.

Interesting world!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙❤️💚💜
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌎
Character development: 😊😘😟😄
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The Hero: Baroudei - he is one of the largest in his Sea Sand tribe. He was so excited to see a Lavricka, a creature that was sacred to his people. The Lavricka was a peaceful creature that came to him and led him on a path to see the face of his fated mates in the Lavricka’s pools. They could only see the face of their mate in the pools when they were with a Lavricka. He followed the Lavricka far to the cliffs, then to the pools to see his fate. He was surprised that the face he saw was not one of his species. Though he felt a longing for her.

The heroine: Cece - she woke up in her Toronto apartment after having a strange dream about an inhuman male. She went running, trying to outrun her feelings of loss after the dream. She recently lost her grandmother, the only other person in the world who loved her. Cece was working on her PhD in linguistics and was just trying to get over her grief for her grandmother. She was grabbed off the street during her run, drugged and she woke up with a bunch of other women, and were transported somewhere by some military guys.

The Story: Cece and the other young women with her were kidnapped (specially selected) by their governments and were sent to a merciless desert planet as some sort of top-secret experiment. Some of them were brutalized by the military personnel. They are told if the mission is successful, they will be allowed to go home. They are told they need to study energy resources on an alien planet.

The women were surprised to find out that they were aboard a spaceship and had no say in what was happening to them. This was a pretty good story. The people that were in charge of the women got what was coming to them when they landed on the planet and Cece ended up with Baroudei. Since she was into Linguistics, she was able to communicate with him on a very basic level. The characters were likable and the story was interesting.

This audiobook was done in dual points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Patrick Zeller and Aleatha George. Patrick Zeller is a good narrator, though his voice sounds a bit older than I like for romance novels. Aleatha George has a youthful, but pleasing voice and is great at showing emotion through her voice. I liked her quite a bit.

Too similar

This book didn’t really offer anything different from other books n the genre. It was a bit boring because of this. Narrators were okay; Patrick sounded a bit frantic during most of his narration.

Not bad but not my taste

A major hangup that I had with this story was that I found the character design for the male lead to be unappealing. He was described as having a flat feline nose, and his legs are described as kangaroo-like. He sounded too alien for my taste.
I also struggled with the male narrator's voice. I can't put my finger on what I didn't like, but I would look up samples that include his voice before purchasing. Had the sample for this book included him, I may not have purchased it. The female narrator was fine.
The story was decent overall. It's nothing ground- breaking, but if you enjoy the alien fated-mates genre, you should enjoy this story. I didn't quite finish it since I'm sure this story leads right into the next books and I don't intend to keep listening to the series.

Good but not breaking any ground

Not bad overall… the female narrator is good but the male narrator, whose voice is otherwise nice, spoke with a pace like a sugar high toddler overacting an infomercial announcer. And as he’s the narrator for the rest of the series, I’ll probably pass.

Really Loving this Series- loving these Aliens

The writing is exciting and fun, and the narrators do an incredible job of truly bringing the story to life. I read the rant that this story is a knock-off of another alien story. However, I'm afraid I have to disagree. There are countless sci-fi romance stories of women arriving on distant planets with similar storylines before Ruby Dixon (whose writing I love), and there will be many more, still yet to be written by other authors. THE MORE, THE MERRIER!!

Ursa Dax has created an incredible world with many different tribes that have adapted to the areas in which they live. The writing is funny and clever, with interesting stories that, once you start...you will not be able to put down... or turn off. CeCe and Buroudei are adorable...cutest couple ever. You will love them!!

I love this series; I have read all the books out so far and plan to buy all of the Audible versions as well... This series includes crazy great world-building, fantastic character development, and super sexy aliens... yes, Please!! Please keep them coming, Ursa!!
