Never a dull moment!

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. This book is full of action, suspense, mystery, hot sex scenes, mistakes, apologies, forgiveness, shifters of all kinds, friendships, and love. I like how the author shows that mistakes happen on both sides when trying to build a relationship and apologies need to be made. Her mates know that they have to go slowly with Valda since she had been sexually assaulted, and therefore she has little trust in men. The narrator does a good job of conveying the emotions of these characters. Her words flow clearly and smoothly. There needed to be a little better job of editing since words were repeated several times. Overall I enjoyed her narration.

Things are coming to a head soon. The battle is closing in and Valda and her mates play a major role in how things will proceed. Things begin to heat up and the enemy is showing its face. Valda brings a lot to the fight but can she and her mates find a common ground? It was interesting to see the way their relationship takes shape. Valda is a strong woman and her mates are dominant men. Emotions are heady and wills clash but love is strong and this new family must find what they need and how they fit together. Valda and her men are not my favorites in this series but I am interested in seeing how this series ends. Some of the new characters introduced in this story fell flat for me and I felt them lacking. There is only one more woman that needs to be found but will they find and save her before it is too late? While narrator Michele Jones does a good job of bringing the emotions out in the characters, I was not fond of many of the voices that were used for the characters. I received this audiobook for free in return for my honest review.
