He is controlling, possessive and oh so fun!

I love this book and read/listen to it multiple times each year. It brings me out of reading slumps. I have the original single narrator version and bought this newer dual version, The male narrator captured Aaron's personality. The female narrator was good but her performance too muted for Patience. I found her emotional scenes flat most of the time. This is a passionate couple and Patience isn't a pushover.

Aaron can be described as a bully, controlling, mean, over the top alpha male. All of which are true but behind all that is a man who went through a lot as a child. He's guarded for good reasons. Enter Patience Thiers and it turns his emotions into something he doesn't seem to be able to fully control. This is a second chance romance with flawed characters. Aaron's issues caused him to lose Patience the first time and current missteps threaten his second chance at happiness.

Patience is the calm to Aaron's conflicted soul. She naively fell in love, got burned and toughened up. Reunited by accident, she doesn't readily forgive him for the past. Even when forced into a marriage she didn't want, she stood her ground. She sees through all of Aaron's arrogance and knows his methods may be questionable, but his love is undeniable.

Smh Aaron is a handful

I actually liked this book. Crazy bcuz I wanted to not like it lol. Aaron imo, is very controlling. A different kind of control than the other Townsend men. Throughout the whole book I couldn't get past the way he specifically threatened/manipulated Patience into marrying him. Back in time, Patience told Aaron "i love you". He said nothing and she was just supposed to deal with it. Now, Aaron said it, Patience couldn't tell him she loved him back and he has a meltdown demanding y can't she say it. Smh it was his constant inconsideration for me. I NEVER got around to liking him and struggled with how Patience could lie him too although they had a certain "connection" sexually that women like myself aren't in to. His disconnect with Patience's emotions, entitlement and dismissivness gave me the 'ick'. Then I leaned of his birthday/zodiac sign (not real heavy in believing everything said about the signs but it's interesting) in the book and it all made sense to me. This particular sign I've NEVER gotten along with lol. All in all, like I said, I liked the book and love the Townsend series.

It was good. She was definitely patient with his controlling behind. He had to be in control of everything in and out of the bedroom. Loved the narrators.

DAMN WHAT A FIVE STAR READ!!!!

I AM FLOORED!! This story was SO DAMN GOOD! It had everything you could ask for: drama, intrigue, violence, and HOT STEAMY SEX, SEX, SEX! Aaron is the ULTIMATE ALPHA MALE in every since of the word, and the way he loves his wife is so fierce! The sex will have you wanting to find yourself an Aaron, and the way he avenges her is so beyond d next level!’NOTHING LIKE STREET JUSTICE TO MAKE YOU FEEL ALL WARM INSIDE! This story is GRADE A FANTASTIC, and I will be listening to it again, and again!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I knew this was excellent

I knew this would be an excellent story . With two narrators, the inflection of emotions by two humans was excellent. I'll be reading or should I say listening to this version another 50 times.

LOVE AARON AND PATIENCE

Aaron and Patience were wonderful. There was complexity and simplicity to the characters. The story for me was just that and more.

Patience knew from an early age that she wanted to work in some way with books. She was a bookworm. I loved that about her. I loved that the one man she loved was also her teenaged rescuer. Aaron was a man of few words. He was also a man from a damaged background. He was a man that loved his family but also loved one woman. The one woman he pushed away. She disappeared from his life six years ago. She was the light for his darkness. The two meet again both on a trip to Chicago. Both happen to be at the same club. Both drawn to each other. Patience was not willing to be so forgiving. It was her own body that betrayed her. Then there was the encounter at the hospital. The encounter that changed Patience life. She just was not sure if it was for the best.

These two had a second chance at a first real opportunity to be together. This time she would be his wife in all ways. Their relationship gets off to a rocky start. It shows the challenges in love, pain, hurt, lose, past wrongs. Aaron was a typical male in not explaining the situation that tore them apart. Instead, I felt that he was not willing to fight for her. The things he said to her were almost as bad as her finding out the truth. She was just the side piece to the one he was to marry.

There was so much going on in this story. Stalking. Watchful eyes. Cute kids. Family love, loyalty, and respect. There was angst, love, passion, death, abuse, Then there was the kidnapping of Patience and a mad man wanting to kill her children This was such a good story for me. I am excited that we now have a narration duo. I am not sure if I need to have my head or speech checked. I did not like the way that Tyler kept pronouncing Townsend. Is it Town-send or Towns end? I have added this to my repeat-listen and my favorites list.

controlling personality

I have read 6 book by tiffany and I typically love her books a lot because I like domineering men but aaron was beyond domineering he was controlling and the patience just took it. I just couldn't get past certain thing with this book. I was pissed most of the book not only art ml but the fl as well. It's a lot that I could explain but it would give spoilers. by the end of the book it was better but still a no

Unlikable

I really wanted to like this book. Apparently there is a thin line between alpha male and cruel bully and Aaron is a bully. That’s not what I find interesting. I could not finish this. I was too frustrated by both main characters.
