Acerca de esta escucha

The politicians in our government have created a perfect environment for the citizens in the United States. We wake up in the morning, grab a cup of coffee, and hurry off to work. This is repeated at least five days a week. On the weekends most of us kick back and relax, watch TV or maybe even try to exercise a little. Some jog, others go to the gym. Some even try to get back to nature by fishing, hunting, and hiking. But saying that, everyone still has their own set of problems and most people wonder how they will ever overcome some of them. This keeps us all focused on our families and ourselves. Our jobs, 401K's, hopefully, retirement someday. Raising our kids in a world that places extremely bad temptations in front of them every day. Past that, we never look at the big picture. Everyone thinks our government will continue to protect us and keep anything bad from happening. Heck that's what we pay taxes for, right? This is the great United States of America! Nothing bad will ever happen here. If we only knew...... My friends, I would like to invite you on my adventure. I am still finding my way telling my stories. I am sure seasoned authors will find mistakes. But that's okay, I have fun writing it! If we all were afraid of what others would think, many books would not be written or dreams realized. I'm not trying to give advice or market any products, it is written for entertainment only. I tried to keep each story short enough so readers like myself who have short attention spans would be able to finish it, and long enough to keep you interested. Hopefully, the more I write the better the stories will become. Thank you for reading my story! Chapter -1 Before going into the service I was never a morning person. My parents had to drag me out of bed to go to school. But after four tours in Afghanistan, getting up at five AM is almost normal now. But leaving this morning at 3:00 AM sucks big time! My wonderful fat ass boss thinks I need to be sitting at the car dealership in Savanna Georgia when it opens at 8:00 this morning. I'm scheduled to pick up a couple of cars and bring them back to the auto auction yard in Charlotte, North Carolina. Days like this I wish I had stayed in the service. At least there I could work out my frustrations caused by my officers, on the Taliban, and now the Islamic State and affiliated groups in Afghanistan. While I was in the service, the Obama administration loosened the rules of engagement for U.S. forces against ISIS. Now, if they wear a T-shirt or carry a flag with ISIS propaganda they're fair game. While I was there it became an ugly business of who we were really fighting. At the time, I just needed a break from it all. When I got out of the service, jobs were hard to come by. No company needed someone that could shoot a fly off the ear of a cow at 1000 yards. There is just really not a lot of demand for that talent in the civilian workforce in the states. So here I am working at this dead-end job, driving towards the coast to bring back a couple of cars for Marc, the red face, fat ass jerk. Looking off toward the horizon, the golden glow of the morning sun starts its climb. Checking the clock on the truck radio I see I am making great time and should be able to find a restaurant and have a sit-down breakfast, instead of picking up a sausage biscuit and riding with it. According to the GPS, I am about two hours from the lot. I should have plenty of time so I start looking for someplace to eat.
