Acerca de esta escucha

When Joe Billie stops a grave robber from unearthing a Seminole Indian burial site, Joe becomes the prime suspect in a bizarre murder. For Sean O'Brien, the first challenge is getting Joe to talk about the circumstances surrounding the killing. As Joe faces first-degree murder charges, O'Brien thinks he knows why his old friend is evasive. But proving it will send O'Brien deep into Seminole history to uncover a greedy killer hell-bent on creating a modern-day Trail of Tears.

The basic concept of a mob attempting to gain a foothold in Seminole casinos is intriguing by itself. The plot of “Murder of Crows” is much more involved with multiple murders, a frame up, bribery, ancient artifacts, and ancient native medicine. Sean O’Brien races to find evidence to exonerate his friend, Joe Billie. Some evidence drops almost into his lap. He finds other evidence using something like a second sight.

The story is full of cleches in language, situations, and scenes. Also some unlikely details like a Major having a squad, a non-commissioned officer’s position.

...That you would never think could come together but somehow he manages to wrap everything up at the end to make one heck of a really good and satisfying book.
In this book Sean O'Brien's friend (a Native American) Joe Billie is accused of murdering a man he has already had a confrontation with in the past. He's arrested and Sean sets about finding the real story and person who is responsible for committing the crime.
The story then becomes very convoluted at this point and many more characters come in to play, including some from Sean's past as a homicide detective in Miami.
As the story unfolds so many motives also are revealed and debunked. Because many of the characters are Native American, their laws also have an impact on the investigation.
The local police do not appreciate Sen's interference and block his efforts at every turn with threats of their own.
This book has a realistic and satisfying conclusion.
Michael David Axtell narrates this as well as the other books in this series. He does an EXCELLENT job.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Tom Lowe writes a spiraling sequence of events...

I always enjoy Tom Lowe's books. Narrator Michael David Axtell did an outstanding performance of A Murder of Crows. He kept the story moving at the appropriate pace to keep the tension high and emotions mellow as I believe the writer would appreciate. At one point, I actually found myself a bit nervous as I was totally involved in the story. You won't go wrong with a Tom Lowe story and any book brought to life by Mr. Axtell.

Well done performance Of Tom Lowe's book

I've run out of words to describe how wonderful, well written and extraordinary narration this whole series offers. Of all the series I've enjoyed here on Audible, this one is #1 on the list and deserves a higher rating that 5 stars. I'm taking a break from the series to see if I'm just biased. Another author, another narrator to break the rhythm and then I'll immediately return. However, I don't believe my option will change. Tom Lowe has a fascinating gift and he has chosen the #1 narrator of all times IMO.

ANOTHER 10-STAR HIT!!!

I've just purchased the other 7 novels in this mystery/thriller series. Audible listener Shelley recently reviewed this novel. She is the best person to follow for those who love the mystery/thriller genre. I urge other mystery/thriller fans to read her review of A Murder of Crows and to follow her.

Another great entry from Tom Lowe in Sean O'Brian series with all the regulars including little Max the dachshund. This is the first time I have listened vs reading and found the narration to be excellent.
