Strange things can be said of the forest that spans the border of two kingdoms long at war. But Katya calls the forest home, living a life of magic and charms with her partner Ivan. But a threat looms over their forest, some darkness and danger that Ivan swears to protect her from. Katya finds herself caught up in a web of grudges and deception spanning generations, but most dangerous of all is the beautiful princess who stumbled into their woods. A princess who sets Katya’s heart fluttering with both desire and fear.

toned down
It feels like there was some energy missing. Not sure if it was the writing or voice acting. voice actor seemed good, just overall a consistent mellow atmosphere. it was a good story though. Worth the listen.

Great story, enjoyable listen
I read the book, but hearing it is a whole new experience.
It's a wonderful fantasy tale full of twists and deeply empathetic characters. The plot leads into a final battle of might and magic that could destroy not one but two empires. I'm not one to return to books I've already read, but this was worth it.
The narrator's voice is very clean, beautiful, and easy to listen to, as a good storyteller should be. The voices were subtle and worked well for their characters. The overall tone matched the author's intended voice nicely.
Very enjoyable and definitely worth the listen.

Interesting
I liked how the story changed as we got more information though the guy with the MC always gave a feeling of hiding something from everyone.
In terms of narration, I feel it could have been better in quality. I've never been fond of hearing echoes of large rooms in the BG.
