Helen's heart melted as Sam held one of the kittens in his hands with a look of total adoration. In a trice the deal was done - the kitten would be delivered to them when she was big enough to leave her mother. A week later, the family suffered a terrible tragedy. Totally traumatised by it, Helen completely forgot all about the kitten until a little black bundle of fur was delivered to her doorstep.

A great story
It was a great story about a beagle. it made me cry a few times and even angry at the owners a few times. It's a great story, I definitely recommend it. There is a great description of scenes and characters;it definitely awoke my imagination. There wasn't as much detail as I wanted and the ending, but overall a really good story. I can definitely agree with the narrator that this was a very very special dog. The great description of all the places that were traveled in the story really make me want to travel to these places too; I think it really is just the narrators great description. definitely worth my time.
