Imagine your dog, suddenly lost in the wilds of Yellowstone National Park. Alone. At night. Surrounded by wolves and grizzly bears. Day after day, week after week. How far would you go to find your dog? Time is running out. Predators. Frigid nights. A dangerous landscape. Starvation.
Bring Jade Home is the gripping true story of Jade, a young Australian shepherd, who disappears into Yellowstone's wilderness after a horrific car wreck. Despite their injuries and against doctor's orders, her owners David and Laura leave the trauma center to begin a desperate search - can they find Jade before it's too late?
A must-listen for dog lovers and wilderness enthusiasts alike, Bring Jade Home is the heartwarming tale of the owners, park employees, and huge search effort to bring Jade home.
This story will melt your heart and renew your faith in dogs - and people.

Historia
A decade ago Special Forces warrior Jason Morgan parachuted into the Central American jungle on an anti-narcotics raid. He'd served with the famous Night Stalkers on countless such missions. This one turned out very different. Months later he regained consciousness in a US military hospital, with no memory of how he'd gotten there. The first words he heard were from his surgeon, telling him he would never walk again. The determined soldier responded, "Sir, yes, I will."

First came the boom - the loud, deep, unapologetic bellow that seemed to erupt from the very core of the Earth. Eerily, the majestic high-rise slowly leaned to the south. On the 78th floor of the World Trade Center's north tower, no alarms sounded, and no one had information about what had happened at 8:46 a.m. on September 11, 2001. Blind since birth, Michael couldn't see a thing, but he could hear the sounds of shattering glass, falling debris, and terrified people flooding around him and his guide dog, Roselle.

Another Homeward Bound Tale - Different Dog Breed.
I have an Australian cattle dog and border collie mix dog breed. When vacationing to Yellowstone in 2022 and seeing this book in the park gift shop, it caught my eye for that reason. I wanted to know how a similar intelligent dog breed like mine faired in the wilderness. I expected a predictable story about a dog surviving the wilderness, but I was wrong. The story line started out predictable, but keeps you guessing every chapter. I almost thought Jade was going to make a life for herself in the wilderness. Her journey was incredible - another version of the Homeward Bound story! Great and quick read, especially if you are traveling commercial airlines all day.

Well written and spoken. I could smell the meadow
The Story was well written. Wonderful way the backgrounds of the people and places were interwoven. Lots of motives and feeling without becoming all touchy feely.
I usually don't like to know the outcome before I start the book unless it is a dog story. I need happy ends. If you're the same this book is for you.
Even though you know it will be okay it was full of suspense. I couldn't stop listening.
I am so pleased with this book. I will look into other books by the same author. Oh I am a bow fan on Facebook.

Long and winding road....
This book was about a dog lost in Yellowstone.... simple story to find the dog. However I think it would have made a better short story than book. Seemed to take forever and got frankly boring at times. The narrator was excellent......

Dog knowledge evident
Great heartfelt read with insider dog knowledge.
There are too many fanciful horse or dog themed books that could be so much better if they had been written with the influence of someone who actually lived with and was knowledgeable about their animal companions.
i have picked up too many books that have the lure of a dog on the cover or in the title that turn out to be just another murder mystery without developing a view of the nature of the dog or the relatioship that develops with their human.
This book was written by people that live with and study dogs, even compete in dog sports.
A good read for anyone who appreciates that connection.

A brave pup!
I vaguely recall this. Having lived near Yellowstone, I know the park well. When she was lost , we had moved and I never knew the outcome.
This answered how she survived and was found.
I'm thrilled for her and her humans! As a Behavioral Expert, I understand what a miracle this was. Yellowstone is wild, rough and beautiful. A dog in flight and fight mode has a lot of challenges in that park. Welcome home Jade!
