Acerca de esta escucha
From legendary author Raymond E. Feist, the first installment in an epic new series that will join his acclaimed Firemane Saga with his signature Riftwar Cycle in a riveting, conclusive adventure.
As worlds collide . . .
Hatushaly, last scion of the Firemane dynasty; his beloved Hava, and their dubious friend Donte have been transported across space and time from their war-torn world of Garn to the relative peace of Midkemia.
There, on Sorcerer’s Isle, under the guidance of the great magician Magnus and his reincarnated father Pug, Hatu will explore and expand his unique magical abilities: for if Garn is to be saved, they will be needed.
With the evil Pride Lords defeated, the Church of the One has risen to bring death and destruction to Hatu’s home world. The kingdom of Ilcomen has fallen, and now the Church is sending forces to Marquensas, where Daylon Dumarch has declared himself king, and master swordsmith Declan Smith finds himself suddenly raised to the status of prince and war commander.
But there are even greater menaces than the Church of the One waiting in the wings, beings from the Void, creatures born of Darkness. . .

Historia
If there were two more impetuous and carefree men in the Kingdom of the Isles, they had yet to be found. Twins Borric and Erland wore that mantle proudly, much to the chagrin of their father, Prince Arutha of Krondor. But their blissful youth has come to an end. Their uncle, the king, has produced no male children. Bypassing himself, Arutha names Borric, the eldest twin by seconds, the royal heir. As his brother, Erland will have his own great responsibilities to shoulder.

Historia
When Robert’s mother dies, his whole world caves in on him. Fatherless, he has no one, and nowhere to go. The royal mage shows him kindness by putting him on the royal guard as a “boot” to keep a roof over his head. Robert’s quick wit and willingness to help others serve him well in the guard. He becomes friends with the king’s second son, Randal, who was placed in the guard by the king to teach him discipline. As he ages, he develops mage abilities but keeps them secret. While on a weekend pass in the city, Robert saves Randal’s life and is rewarded by being made Randal’s liegeman.

Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Spoiler--Pug's Alive
I truly love how Ray Almonds tells a story. I love all of the characters.

Feist back to Midkemia form.
While enjoying the Firemane it lacked the intensity of the riftwar. With the convergence of worlds Freist is back to full form. It was great to meet old friends and reminisce of lost ones, but the integration of Hatu was well done. The side plot of Dante was fantastic as well. I was worried a worthy character would be lost, but Feisty finds him a home! Ripping good yarn!

Great!!
I feel this book is for the true fans of R.E.F..
I don’t have a problem with the reader although it’s weird without Peter Joyce..My hopes are can we get Derek Perkins to redo all of John M books??

Great book
I will never understand while Feist is not mentioned in the same breath as Robert Jordan or even Tolkien. This universe that he created is so deep and rich, and the characters are so amazing.

The series continues and now it's another waiting game!!! Most of the existing ends have been tied up but the multiverse is always changing and evolving.

really enjoyed the fact the same narrator was used
I absolutely hate the fact that he pronounced the names different it makes it hard to remember if the characters are the same or if there different... otherwise he did a wonderful job.

Feist forgot his own cannon.
The first book King of ashes was good and the2nd and 3rd were OK, but with this new cycle he is rewriting cannon. As for the narration can a narrator that is new to the serries listen to the previous narrators to get the pronunciations correct.

Luke.warm
Great fan of the magician series. This is like oil and water storywise. Peter Joyce is sorely needed. If the narator says Kriddy its like a toothache.
